It has gotten to the point where everyday we hear new ways in which Al Gore and the Global Warming fanatics have attempted to pull the wool over our eyes. One of Al Gore's assertions over the past few years is that anthropogenic global warming is reducing the polar bear population. Well, it turns out that the natives who live among the Polar Bears think Al Gore is full of crap. Sadly, this...

I would like to talk about the Live Earth Concert. This was one of the thing that has marked me the most.I never thought that one day, the environement issue would be so important that so many people, so marny artist will meet together to make a concert to make people aware of the dangers for the earth if we don't care for it.For those who was unable to attend the concert (like for me), there's a pledge that can be signed on the website of the Live Earth at the address http://www.liveearth.org". If you feel concern, please go and sign it. Do be bound to your commitment.Helping the world today is helping your children tomorrow.(This picture has been obtained on Google picture search.
Mainá do Bali

This is an excellent piece that really answers a lot of questions and exposes underlying motivations for what on the surface looks like fairly illogical actions on the part of businesses. And as usual the left will be clueless and think everything is just rainbows and lollipops as business finds a way to make a buck off of global warming. And as for Jeff Immelt my prediction is that he will be canned by the end of the year as he continues to drag GE into lower and lower profitibilaty. Good press and the adoration of rock stars and other such vacuous types will only go so far to placate shareholders, especially institutional investors, that see dwindling stock dividend checks. ~RJH Fox News article link Junk Science: Live Earths Gross GroupiesSunday , July 08, 2007 By Steven Milloy Why is NBC airing Al Gores Live Earth concert this weekend? As Part Of Last Weekends "Live Earth" Gigs, "The Black Eyed Peas" Performed In London."Will.i.am", "Fergie", "Taboo" & "Apl.de.ap" performed a medley of their hits, including; "Pump It" & "Let's Get It Started (Retarded)", plus Fergie's new single "Big Girls Don't Cry".B.E.P really got the crowd going, the energy & passion that rains from these guys is phenomenal. Will leads the band & gives them an empowerment that they use so well. As Part Of This Weeks "Live Earth" Theme, Here Are "The Pussycat Dolls" Perorming Their Debut Single.Although not the most respected or diverse artists on the bill, they did quite well & held their own, with a pop medley of tracks, "Don't Cha" being the most recognisable. "Nicole" was shinning as usual, looking stunning & performing with questionable vocals. It has been obvious since the outset that she & "Melody" are the only ones with an ounce of talent, & with Nicole's debut solo album just around the corner, let's see how she fairs alone. Not a great fan of PCD but there are great at what they do, the dance set at the end of the piece was pretty cool & got the crowd going. I reckon they will be around for quite some time, with or without Miss Scherzinger. What do you reckon?Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha (Live Earth)Presented By Urban ReviewLove It, Or Hate It!Let Me Know?

China, by some reports the world's largest carbon dioxide emitter, is a "crucial target" of the Live Earth concerts' anti-global warning message, the United Nations representative in Beijing said Thursday. China's business center of Shanghai is one of seven cities staging the 24-hour concerts on Saturday aimed at raising awareness of climate change. The location is poignant since the city is the linchpin of the booming Chinese economy - blamed for spewing ever-growing levels of green house gasses into the atmosphere. "Global warming is a very complex issue," Khalid Malik, the United Nations' resident coordinator and UNDP resident representative in China, said in a news release. Live Earth numbers are starting to pour in, and, rest assured, the people in charge made a lot of money.
The London and New Jersey Live Earth concerts grossed almost $14 million, and the receipts for London totaled $7.8 million. Now, as for how all that money is actually spent, or better yet how much will be left over once production costs are taken care of, well, that remains to be seen
The Past Weekend Saw One Of The Biggest Concerts Ever Held, "Live Earth".This week, I will be posting my personal highlights of the world wide concert. Today, it kicks off with what was probably the best performance of the US concert, "Alicia Keys" with "If I Ain't Got You".This is one of my favourite Keys' songs, the energy & power she expels in her performances are amazing, & this is no exception. Alicia is one of the greatest talents in R&B at the moment, a definate contender for "Mary J's" crown as the 'Queen Of Hip-Hop Soul'.Check Out The Performance Below & Let Me Know If You Are Feeling It?ALICIA KEYS - IF I AIN'T GOT YOU (LIVE EARTH)Presented By Urban ReviewLet Me Know What You Think, Leave A Comment

I have to say I'm not shocked at all that Live Earth didn't draw big television ratings.I'm willing to wager that most of the people that went didn't go solely because of the cause, but probably to see the bands themseleves. I believe that the majority of the American populace probably realized what a hypocritical affair the whole idea of 27 concerts preaching conserving energy and being more green.
While folks were out in New Orleans partying, some celebs opted to perform for a good cause at New Jersey's Giant Stadium for Live Earth Concert. Some performers included Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Corrine Bailey Rae, Ludacris, John Legend, Pussycat Dolls, Akon, and a couple of others...check out the photos below.
Was Live Earth this weekend. I didn't even notice. Just kidding, I watched about 3 minutes of the show and watched a bunch of kids blather on how the earth is going to die or something, then I played golf....

Earth-centred news for the health of air, water, habitat and the fight against global warming

The majority of people just do not believe the chicken littles of the world about global warming and especially not their pied piper leader Algore. Climate change is more than just a possibility. It is a historical fact. The last significant climate change was the Little Ice Age that lasted from the 13th through 19th centuries. Remember all the pictures of George Washington crossing the frozen Potomac River? That was the tail end of the Little Ice Age. Yes, climate change or even global warming is a real possibility. Where the lemmings on the left go over the edge is assuming that man can affect it one way or the other. Have you ever noticed that bright ball of fire in the sky that all light and heat comes from? Heres a shocker...sometimes the sun gets warmer and sometimes it gets cooler. The idea of a dynamic changing sun seems to be too difficult of a concept for the left to grasp. I think the following article shows conclusively that the global warming movement, at least in the ey
I didn't get to watch any of the Live Earth concerts but I have read several articles about it and I'm pissed off. Every single article focused on how hypocritical it is to use all of that energy to promote energy conservation.
It's not as if any other concert has ever been that conscious about it and tried to lower its impact so completely. I mean, can a newspaper never write about deforestation because it's printed on paper? Sometimes the message has to be put through the same channels you're trying to...
To end our highlights coverage of Live Earth, the following videos feature the entire Black Eyed Peas performance from Wembley Stadium. This was probably our favourite section of the day and we're not just saying that because Fergie is our favourite singer. Oh no. But it helps. The group really got the crowd jumping with a greatest hits setlist. Let me get this straight. Live Earth was 24hrs of wasted television time to send a communistic message about global warming. Ok, do some of you libs realize that those concerts put out enough power to send electricity to at least 12 homes? That was only one show! Not to mention the amount of jet fuel it took to fly all those artists in. And lets not forget the amount of garbage that will go into the landfills.I was kind of worried about Metallica showing up at the U.K. show. I thought, "Oh Crap! They're a bunch of vegans now." But then I remembered they are the type to play anything anywhere, and they have a new album due out soon. Why not use it for some self promotion? Now a lot of Metallica's lib fans will no doubt argue that the band cares for the environment. But here are at least two points that counter that:1. On the "Some Kind Of Monster" DVD, Lars Ulrich ( Drummer) drives an SUV, and James Hetfield ( Vocals), drives a bunch of classic gas guzzling hot rods.2. The song "Gimme
A selection of pictures from the Black Eyed Peas' performance at the London Live Earth concert. They played one of the longest sets at Wembley - five songs in total - including a new song written for the occasion by will.i.am and a solo spot for Fergie who sang Big Girls Don't Cry. As always, Fergie looked gorgeous and seemed a lot less nervous on the Wembley stage compared to last week's Concert For Diana (obviously happy to have her boys around to back her up!) Other songs played by the group include Pump It, Let's Get It Started and Where Is The Love. You can watch the entire performance in the final part of our Live Earth highlights coverage. Many more higher resolution pictures from the event have been uploaded to the Fergie gallery.
A selection of pictures from the Pussycat Dolls' performance at the London Live Earth concert. Appearing near the end of the show, they played Buttons, Stickwitu and Don't Cha. Their dance routines were fantastic and they still managed to sing brilliantly. Without doubt, one of the highlights of the entire Live Earth marathon. Many more higher resolution pictures from the event have been uploaded to the Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls galleries.

This weekend saw Live Earth concerts being held all around the world in order to raise awareness for environmental issues. We always love big television events like this and Live Earth didn't disappoint (apart from the BBC's decision late in the proceedings to stop showing full sets from Wembley in order to show highlights from other countries). Our setup was like some sort of mission control - the UK feed on the television and the rest of the world streaming via MSN on another screen - but it ensured that we didn't miss anybody that we really wanted to see (although we drew the line at staying up until 3am to see Kelly Clarkson). Anyway, there were many highlights (including Ricky Gervais appearing on stage looking noticably awkward after last Sunday's Diana Concert debacle) and we'll be presenting them in picture and video form over eight separate blogs today. Firstly, this is a general set of photographs featuring some of our favourites. Blogs dedicated to Fergie, Pussycat Doll
I watched live earth for quite a long time yesterday. There were some amazing bands on there. However the presenters seemed to miss the point of it all. Especially in the UK they seemed to be debating the fact over whether globabl warming was real or not and not how to stop it. There wasn’t even any videos encouraging us to turn off taps and light switches. I think the first encouragement video was about 10.00pm that I saw. (more…)
I have always said that the left doesnt give a rip about the environment. Endangered species, climate change or whatever the cause de-jour happens to be. They're all just a way to punish American business and to reduce our standard of living. Take a look at every single issue of the left and their fix will be one or the other. And like the author says what about their concern about the Fairness Doctrine? Its sort of like their belief in free speech. Its for them and their causes but not so much for anybody else. The unholy alliance of businesses like GE and radical environmental activists should be setting off alarms all over the place but not a peep so far. ~RJH Fox News story link Junk Science: Live Earths Gross GroupiesSaturday , July 07, 2007By Steven MilloyWhy is NBC airing Al Gores Live Earth concert this weekend?
