Today is very exciting day as I will start my trip to South Asia MVP Open Day 2008 - Goa. Yesterday I wrote about my visit. I will be attending South Asia MVP Open Day 2008 on November 15 - 17, 2008 at Hotel Kenilworth Resorts, Goa. Those who have asked how can they meet [...]

Earlier this week we had some points of contention with Du Nord, so let's pick right up where we left off, shall we? Except, this isn't so much a point of contention but more a point of confusion. The site introduced something today called "The Designated Players," which appears to be some kind of blogging quintet featuring Ives, This is American Soccer, The Original Winger and The Offside Rules.

How do I edit my link list? Many of Blogger's default templates have a links section in them already. To see it, sign in to your blog and then click the Template tab. Scroll down through the code until you see something like this in the sidebar section:Links Google News Edit-Me Edit-MeYou can see there are a few links already in there to get you started. You can delete or edit these as you like.
"Lists of links are an intermediate case between content-embedded links and menu items. Showing listed links in blue or in the site's main link color is the recommended design — and the one most intranets follow."
The absolute coolest thing I saw in the soccer blogosphere this week was at Pitchinvasion.net. The geniuses who run that site got one of (if not the) best bloggers on Argentine soccer, Hasta el Gol Siempre (whom I have also interviewed on this site) to collaborate with Bill's Sports Maps on a primer on Argentinian football. The result speaks for itself and I'm being dead serious when I say no words--least of all mine--can do it justice. Check it out.Another week another massive scoop by Ives, this time getting us the exclusive on the New York Red Bulls signing Oscar Echeverry. It looks like the Colombian striker will essentially provide depth up front and act as a potential insurance policy if and when Jozy Altidore leaves the club (which will hopefully not be for a crappy team like Readin
One of this week's most blogged-about items was the English Premier League's plan to play regular season games overseas. Not surprisingly, most bloggers hated the idea: All Quiet in the East Stand titled its rant "The Day Football Started To Kill Itself." Football Corner wrote Premier League games abroad is not the answer" (they didn't say what the question was, but I get it; they hate the plan. Fair enough). It wasn't just English bloggers who came out vocally opposed, either. Jakarta Casual out of the Indonesian capital city, is calling the EPL the English Prostitute League. Oh You Beauty, an American Liverpool fan, also blasted the concept, arguing that it would require too many games and dilute the fact that it's the English Premier League. I think he's a bit confused because the only t
If there's one thing there is too much of in today's world it's awards and awards ceremonies. I'm not just talking soccer, either. The damn things are everywhere. At my day job, it seems I spend half the year preparing for one awards "gala" or another, just so the publishing monkeys can get their jollies and pad their bottom lines. So why do I care about the US Soccer Federation's accolades, as reported on American Soccer Daily and elsewhere? Because I have an agenda: I want soccer to become more popular in this country and will support programs that help it to attract attention. Even cheap ploys such as awards. Plus, I happen to think these guys genuinely deserve it (unlike the over-hyped stars who win FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d'Or awards or worse yet fat cats from various parts of world industry). Clint Dempsey and Abby Wambach were named USSF's 2007 Male and Female Athletes of the Year, with Heerenveen's Michael Bradley and UCLA Bruins striker Lauren Cheney r
The best MLS article I read this week was probably Glenn Davis' Houston Chronicle piece on what the league needs to do to connect with fans. Davis' point, that MLS suits should play to the strengths and diversity of the sport to market to media and grassroots constituents alike, is on the surface completely obvious. Yet very few teams--Davis' home town Dynamo happen to be one exception--are doing it with any kind of sincerity. (Surprisingly, the Dynamo are having sustained success at the box office and on the field. A coincidence?) The bottom line here is that the league's public and media relations efforts have been very poor. Remember how USsoccerplayers.com said they were going to reduce coverage next year as a result of the poor treatment they had received? That should have been a wake up call--but it probably wasn't. Will Davis' column do the trick? I'm not holding my breath on that one either. For some reason I just can't get past the impression that the league has straig
Worldclubrankings.com is by its own definition "no-frills," focusing on rankings it culls from a proprietary algorithm. I imagine this will continue to be the site's bread and butter (it's part of their URL, lest we forget) but they are expanding their "service offerings" (to delve into marketing-ese for a second. Vile, innit? My day-job editors would never let me get away with that. Not that I'd want to. Marketing people are evil). Where was I? Oh yes, worldclubrankings.com now has a handy schedule for its top 25 teams in action, complete with TV listings for a U.S. audience. I know from my own experience what a pain in the arse it is to pull this kind of data together, so I really appreciate their efforts--especially if they were smart enough to figure out a way to automate the process. Not only that, the site is taking suggestions for additional "frills" its readers want to see added. Be sure to check them out.Earlier this week, I decided that FIFA's Club World Cup was worth my

but here’s a bed: bed (get it?)
Since there are so many bed and furniture stores, it’d be nice to have them in a categorized fashion. So we started a Bed and Furniture Store Link List on our new bed wiki.
Well, that’s the only thing I could think of that might help all you bed and furniture sellers. At first we were going to open a marketplace for bedding stuff but it seems like we just don’t want to get too complicated so this might be a very good way.
Please feel free to register and post your online store here. It should be pretty easy to do since I left some examples “Your Store” you can edit.
Hmmm… thinking of this link list, I think we can do much more in the future of organizing some of the information on our blog…
BED Furniture, BED Home, BED News, Bed Stores, bedding, blog, categorized, fashion, furniture store, furniture stores, link list, please feel fr
