Update: AT&T Not Limiting 3G Speeds After All
You might remember that we told you earlier last week that AT&T would be restricting the data speeds of the 3G iPhone so as not to drain it's battery life and to make sure that their 3G network doesn't get bogged down with all of the internet usage. Well, AT&T recently stated that they're not actually limiting it's speed, but that this is how fast their network is in most areas on average

AT&T limiting iPhone speeds to 1.4Mbps? (MacNN)
Readers of AT&T's Apple iPhone 3G website, have this weekend been left confounded by information that iPhone 3G data download speeds will apparently be limited to 1.4Mbps, while other devices tout much faster speeds. With the figure also echoed in the official AT&T press release, speculation is that the 1.4Mbps limit is not a website error. With t...

      Limiting Visitor Choices
An interesting way to make visitors click more on your ads is to limit their choices. While it may not sound very well if you hear about this idea for the first time, it isn’t actually that bad after all. The principle behind this it is that you should try to create the most logical exit points aside from the back button. A visitor has to exit the website at some point, so you should try to make him click on ads to exit the site. Some people recommend removing links to other sites from your webpage and this also includes widgets or any other banners that are not ads. You can also go to the extreme and remove your categories, RSS feed link, recent posts and date archive to even further reduce the users choices. This strategy has a lot of potential, but your blog might suffer from it, as y

Moscow is ready to OK a new law limiting foreign investment in key sectors
The rules for foreign investors in Russia have often been murky. But a landmark new law due to be approved by Russia's parliament on Mar. 22 should at least make matters a little clearer. The Kremlin-backed statute will regulate investment in so-called strategic sectors of the Russian economy, meaning that foreigners will henceforth have to seek government approval if they plan to make significant investments. The law represents the culmination of a trend in recent years toward greater economic restrictions in Russia. The government has noticeably cooled toward foreign investment in sectors deemed to be of strategic importance—notably the crucial energy and minerals segments.

Law Of Attraction: How Limiting Beliefs Limit Your Life
by Antonio ThorntonOur beliefs are the foundation of who we are, what we think, what we say, how we act, and ultimately, how the world shows up for us. However, when we have limiting beliefs, we actually limit our life.RelationshipsLimiting beliefs will greatly affect your relationships. It can cause problems if you have any beliefs about what can or cannot, should or should not happen in a relationship. For example: You believe that the person you're dating should not see an ex-girlfriend or boyfriend because it's "bad" for the relationship. What you don't see is that the person you're with really cares about you. The relationship they maintain with an ex can be for multiple reasons. Are there children involved? Does your significant other pay alimony to their ex? Was the break up mutual?

      The Importance Of Limiting Yourself
In our lifetime, we do feel the need to mould ourselves into good people. We wish to be able to do all the good deeds to others, and if possible, we do not want to portray a self-centered image in the eyes of others. Without a doubt, it would be very noble of someone to be able to lend a helping hand to those who are in need of one. It certainly would! But what if those people whom you have offered to help are those who are apparently undeserving of your help? What if their pleas for sympathy from you are merely their gateways to taking advantage of you? This is where you will realize how essential it is for you to limit yourself in life. It may be puzzling for some of you to learn that you have to limit yourself even when doing good deeds. But when you do so, you will find that you are constantly safe from unnecessary dangers and perils that you have to put yourself into just because you have done something good for someone. While some people get indebted towards your sincerity in hel

      Limiting Rescue
Due to some personal circumstances, unexpected, that have come up in the last month we are going to have to severely limit the collies we are able to foster in our own home. Fortunately for us here in Utah, there are not very many locally that end up in rescue. Hopefully we can rely on our friend rescues to help get any collies that we do find in shelters, into foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more we can do. We have a couple of potential foster homes coming online soon and that should help out. And we are seriously looking for a foster for Tony, as having him in another home where he can get the attention he needs, would also help us out a great deal. So if you are interested in fostering a collie, or a sheltie for our friends at sheltie rescue, please let us know! collierescue@utahdogs.com

If a limiting case black hole was formend from X kg of normal matter
Once the antimatter (which has mass) falls into the black hole, it no longer matters that it is antimatter insofar as the hole is concerned. The exact nature of what happens to matter once inside the event horizon is an open question (and one that is, by definition, unobservable and thus guidance to theoretical modles by experimental results can not occur). However, let's just for the sake of argument say that somehow the original matter "survived" in some form reasonably akin to regular, outside-the-event-horizon matter. Then, perhaps, inside the event horizon, the matter and antimatter do react and turn into pure energy (gamma rays). The total mass/energy is still conserved, so that from outside the hole's event horizon, we see nothing different because the hole's total mass/energy does not change. Nor can we ever tell if the reaction took place, because the gamma rays can not escape the event horizon any more than the original matter and antimatter could.

Comcast Suspected of Limiting BitTorrent Use
After months of allegations that Comcast has been throttling BitTorrent uploads, a report from the Associated Press on Friday appears to verify the claim. Accusations have been floating around the Internet for some time that Comcast, the nation's largest cable TV operator and the second-largest Internet service provider, engages in throttling peer-to-peer activity. On Friday, however, the Associated Press said it had confirmed "through nationwide tests" that Comcast blocks some BitTorrent activity. Comcast representatives avoided responding to the claim directly. At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco on Friday, Comcast Interactive Media President Amy Banse responded to questions about P2P throttling by pointing to the company's need to "manage" heavy Internet use. "99.9 percent of our customers happily say they use e-mail and are uploading and downloading video and photos every day at speeds they enjoy," she said. "There are .01 percent that are engaging in what we call 'excessive

The Daily 2¢ - Limiting The Loophole
As many of you already know there is a very juicy loophole in the federal tax code that allows for a gargantuan exclusion ($250,000 for a single homeowner, $500,000 for a couple) of the gain from the sale of a principle residence from traditional taxation, so long as the taxpaying homeowner had used the property as a primary residence for an “aggregate” of 2 years of the 5 years prior to the sale. The “aggregate” language in the tax code is important as it allows for the flexibility of using the property for other purposes (such as a vacation home or a rental property) during the 5 years prior to the sale but still meet the residency requirement as long as the time the property had been used as a primary residence totals 2 years. To say that this WAS an important tax loophole for lower to middle income as well as affluent homeowners is an understatement as the notion of such a large tax free capital gain likely greatly contributed to the excitement seen in residential real estate

Hey Folks, We have shared how to take action and keep procrastination at bay in Step 6 of “9 Secret Steps To Life Transformation“. Now we’ll proceed to Step 8 and it’s about “Feeling The Abundance“. Did you ever have the feeling that there is not enough of these and not enough of that? In the past, I always do. 1) When I was studying, I was worried that I wouldn’t be good enough to make it to the local university. 2) When I was working as a professional computer engineer, I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough vacancies for promotion. 3) When I was a property agent, I was worried that there wasn’t enough customers in my selected niche are. 4) When I go for buffet, I had to eat as much as possible like there is no tomorrow and usually the meal was done in a rather short time (too full to eat anymore). I was brought up believing that there is not enough to go around and I must compete with my peers for that limited whatever (tha

      L200 Current Limiting Power Supply
Circuit : Ron J Email Ron Source : http://www.zen22142.zen.co.uk/Circuits/Power/clps.htm Description: This is a 1-amp variable-voltage PSU. It adjusts from about 3v to 24v: and has the added feature that you can limit the maximum output current. This is invaluable when (for example) you power-up a project for the first time or soak-test a piece of equipment. Notes: SW3 is the on/off switch. It also lets you choose between the output with the current limit and the one without. SW2 provides a selection of three different limits. You can increase or decrease this number if you wish. The limits are fixed by R4, R5 & R6. They are set at 10mA, 25mA & 65mA respectively; but you can choose whatever limits you like. If you try to draw a current above the limit you’ve selected, the output voltage will fall. Thus, the voltmeter indicates when the load on the output is excessive. The housing should be well ventilated. The heatsink is a folded strip of aluminium about 2mm thick, 18cm
