Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney together sounds like a movie marketeer’s dream. Now it is going to become a reality - maybe. It has been announced that George Clooney is toying with the idea of attaching himself as director on an adaptation of Beau Willimon’s play, Farragut North, with DiCaprio attached to star.
It’s not yet known whether Clooney will star alongside DiCaprio, but given that the play contains a character that Clooney would be perfect for, so don’t be surprised if he ends up in front of the camera on this one as well.
DiCaprio will play an idealistic communications director working for a fast-rising presidential candidate (come one Clooney!), who gradually falls foul of a backstabbing and dirty tricks from rival politicos.
If Clooney decides to direct, it will be his fourth film as a director. The third - American Football comedy Leatherheads - will be out next year.

It’s a movie menage a trois made in heaven. Sam Mendes, director of American Beauty, has begun working with his wife Kate Winslet on the film Revolutionary Road, which is being shot in New York.
The project also sees an on-screen reunion between Winslet with Leonardo DiCaprio.
This is the first time since the pair broke hearts and box-office records in the 1997 epic Titanic, about the doomed steamship.
But don’t expect a repeat of that weepy romance.
Written in 1961 by Richard Yates, the novel Revolutionary Road describes how a young couple get married for the wrong reasons and find themselves torn between their own desires and pressures to conform in 1950s America.

CANNES, France (Reuters) - Hollywood star and long-time environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio has a message for the world: go green now, before it’s too late.
As DiCaprio tells it in film documentary “The 11th Hour”, launched on Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival, people are living in the last minutes of the final hour before it may be too late to do anything about global warming.
“Global warming is a reality. It is happening,” DiCaprio told reporters gathered for the movie’s debut.

Leo is denying the rumor reported by The Mirror that Leonardo Dicaprio's girlfriend Bar Rafaeli is pregnant. The british newspaper said that the reason Leonardo is planning to marry Israeli model Rafaeli this summer was because she is pregnant with Leo's baby.
Friends claim that Bar - who is the first Israeli model to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine - is due in late autumn. [The Mirror]
However, supposedly, a representative for Leonardo Decaprio recently told Usmagazine.com that this story was "totally b.s." and "hundred percent made up bollocks."

Kate and Leo are set to star in “Revolutionary Road,” based on Richard Yates’ 1961 book, directed by Winslet’s husband, Sam Mendez. The story follows a 1950’s surburban family in the struggle between following their true desires or conforming to the constraints of society.
Will they be able to make another hit? Personally, I don’t think it will be anything like the movie that launched both of their careers. It’s just a completely different feel to it. The story seems more towards a controversial plot, than a love story. I think the main hook of the movie is about conforming to society. Sounds like a book that you might have to read in high school, like a Brave New World.
