weird factsOne city commission wants to divide Florida into two states: North Florida and South Florida. The North Lauderdale City Commission says in a resolution that it's not confident in state leaders when it comes to collecting and spending their own money. It also says it would be "in the best interests of the citizens and residents" to divide the state.Commissioner Rich Moyle says they're frustrated with the state Legislature "ignoring the cities in South Florida." But he acknowledges the idea likely won't pass. When asked Tuesday about the resolution, Governor Charlie Crist could only muster up a laugh.Meanwhile, other municipalities and counties are being asked to join in the resolution. The boundary line would be from Palm Beach County down through Monroe County.[Via - CBSNews.Com]
Located just minutes from the Fort Lauderdale airport the Fort Lauderdale Grande is a newly remodeled hotel offering quality found in hotels usually double the price. There is no need to rent a car when staying at this hotel as it is close to the airport and beach. A cab from the airport should cost no more than $15 so if you see the meter approaching $20 then your cab driver is taking you for a ride.Having not visited this hotel before the renovations I can't say how improved the hotel is - what I can say is that the quality is there. When staying at a hotel there are certain elements I look for that signify the quality and thought put into the amenities.First for the lobby. It is very well appointed and modern featuring a huge circular carpet and trendy upscale bar area to the side of th
From what I could tell, 360 version of the game sold 3:1 better than Ps3 version at this particular store. But that doesn't mean there weren't any loyal Sony fans out there... "We got your back Sony" "Some may get out the door fast..." "But we always catch 'em...", "And their friends" "Broward County Sheriff Office, Keeping Gamers Alive since GTAIII" "And this is what you get to afford by keeping the store open at midnight" Overall, it was a great joyous night for gamer all around US, no matter what system, everybody gets a 10/10 game... "Thanks to all who allowed me to take their pictures"
Know Thy Game, was at the midnight release of the much anticipated game; Grand theft Auto IV. Eventhough the store I attended to is for a known fact to be one of the slower branches, there was about a hundred gamers present, waiting for the 12:01AM sales. "Keeping' it real!""Only a few titles can line up a buncha guys, at 12 midnight" "Hey, hot chicks got game too, you know" "Ah, we meet at last" ....continues.

Well there was so much to see and do in Ft. Lauderdale that I could probably write posts about it for the next 2 weeks. But in lieu of the fact that I just got back from yet another great destination, I am going to give you all the highlights instead! First I must say Ft. Lauderdale is perfect for a romantic getaway. Romantic Getaways to the beach is a no-brainer. There is nothing more romantic or relaxing than having nothing to do all day but sit at the beach, watch the water, play in the waves and eat, drink and be merry. We had a great time and would recommend it to any interested parties!
Of course, I already wrote an entire post about Gelato Dream and Ciao Café the fabulous Gelateria s that we went to. If you are in Ft. Lauderdale DO NOT MISS IT.
Now that we are on the topic of frozen dairy delicacies, I must tell you about this amazing dessert we had at Trina Restaurant and Lounge. Now, here’s some background. Trina’s is located in the beautiful Atlantic Hotel which just
