      BSE Sensex was up 358.95 points, or 2.42%, to 15201.06 as fears of a global turmoil in credit markets eased after a 0.75% interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve and following better-than-expected results from two major investment banks -- Goldman Sachs Group and Lehman Brothers Holdings.On BSE, 4.07 lakh shares of the scrip were traded. The stock had an average daily volume of 10.60 lakh shares on BSE in past one quarter. The scrip had touched a high of Rs 104 and a low of Rs 99.40 so far during the day.       India's premier Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) will be investing Rs 75,000 crores during the eleventh plan and 35 per cent of that is for exploring new ventures. "We have made nine hydrocarbon discoveries in the current year, out of which three are in Cambay Basin, one each in Mumbai Offshore, Assam Shelf and Cauvery basin and three in the East Coast deepwater" said ONGC chairman and Managing Director R.S.Sharma addressing a press conference in Chennai capital city of Tamil Nadu state Friday, Asian Age reported here. Elaborating on the expansion plans, he said, "ONCG has signed a production sharing agreement will Burma and has discovered blocks in few areas." However, the company has no plans to enter Bangladesh, he said. He said that ONGC is in talks with Sri Lanka to explore opportunities there.
