Quoizel starting manufacturing in Manhattan in 1930 and worked in conjunction with both Lenox and Tiffany but other than hopefully finding these markings on the lamps how do you recognize the genuine Tiffany Lamp instead of a Tiffany Quoizel combonation? No, I’m not full of shite. I came across this video on YouTube, where a demonstration of a desktop lamp was made using a Mini-USB cable, 6V Bulb, Two old CDs, some cable, and some cardboard for the light shade! Pretty cool trick eh? Will give it a go eventually, but I think it’s a little bit dangerous…especially if your wiring is shite! I’d be inclined to find a fuse as well as a switch and impliment them into it - just for safety’s sake!

Now I am not one to push onto to people the latest technology that can harm people, even if it is military or even self defense, I believe that there are some things best left alone, however having said that, what I do believe in and love to see, is something innocent and harmless made out of something that could have been so deadly. These harmless oil lamps have been made from genuine US Army hand grenades, hopefully the stuff that explodes has actually been removed from the inside, our wise the whoever lights the lamp would be in for a surprise.
