What a great movie...which is kind of surprising coming from a director attached to the movie Hell Boy and the soon to be released, Hell Boy 2....but it was great!I initially thought it'd be more "Alice in Wonderland-esque", and that it wouldn't really balance the time between the real world, and some magical, demon-fairy filled world, like it did, but I'm still pleased. I finally got round to watching this after it sitting in a box in my house for months. It was well worth the wait. Mark Kermode called it the best film of 2006, I rarely agree with Mark but on this one he was dead right - it wasn’t just the best film of 2006 but the best fantasy…the best faerie film I have ever seen.
