Salve!!! Dopo aver imparato come installare la lingua italiana in Ubuntu, oggi scopriremo come installare la nostra bellissima lingua anche in Kubuntu. E' molto semplice. I have used Gnome for such a long time that all my emails are stored in the .evolution configuration folder. With a default Kubuntu installation Evolution is obviously not installed because it is a Gnome application. This is not a problem, as you can do a single apt-get command to install Evolution and all associated Gnome dependencies. The Ubuntu repositories are set up extremely well, and most of the time all dependencies will resolve perfectly.

In gnome you would go to your administration tab, and the users manager; but in KDE is a little different. First go to your KDE button, then system settings. Then click users management. Then click the button at the bottom right corner that says administrator mode. Then to add a user to a group click the groups tab. Select the group that you want to add a user to, and click modify. You will be able to add users to the group now.
Overall the process of graphical User Management is a little different on KDE as compared to Gnome. A user comfortable with Gnome will definitely be thrown off at first.

Bien, hoy, como es lógico, es el “día Ubuntu”, ya que temprano en la mañana fue dada de alta la nueva y mejorada versión de este sistema operativo (la 7.10). Sin embargo, Ubuntu no es el único que ha salido hoy, pues las otras diferentes variantes del OS han sido también actualizadas.
Dediquemos unos momentos a ver las variantes disponibles de Ubuntu, y las diferencias que tienen con la aplicación principal.
La más conocida de las tres variantes, Kubuntu trae una importante diferencia frente al original: En vez de utilizar el entorno GNOME de escritorio, utiliza KDE. Y si bien las aplicaciones desarrolladas tanto para GNOME como para KDE son compatibles entre sí (podemos usar una aplicación de KDE en GNOME, y vice), la diferencia del escritorio es notable.

Si, dentro de poco me pondre Linux, y como me han aconsejado, voy a empezar con Ubuntu. Pero hay una duda que no me deja tranquilo... ¿Ubuntu o Kubuntu? Pues no lo se. Primero estaba decidido en usar Ubuntu porque no conocia la existencia de Kubuntu. La unica diferencia, es el tipo de escritorio, todo lo demas es lo mismo. Ubuntu usa gnome, que es un poco mas feo, con menos opciones, pero mas personalizable, y Kubuntu usa kde, que es mas chulo, con mas opciones y un poco menos personalizable. Y viendo esto, creo que me voy a quedar con Kubuntu, pero como de todos modos, me tendre que esperar igual, quiero que opinais sobre el respecto.

Puede parecer una tontería, pero tanto si eres novato en Linux, como si no lo eres, puede que haya pequeñas cosillas que aun se escapen a tu poder. Entre esas "cosillas" puede que se encuentre el hecho de querer tener un icono de la papelera en el escritorio al estilo Güindous para tenerla a mano. Ese fue mi caso. En las instalaciones por defecto de Kubuntu no se agrega el icono de la papelera en el escritorio. Pero para eso estamos aquí xD:Vamos al escritorio y clickeamos con el botón derecho del mouse y elegimos “Crear nuevo” -> “Archivo de texto“, no especificamos ningún nombre y lo abrimos.A continuación agregamos estas líneas de texto en el archivo:[Desktop Entry]Comment=Contains removed filesEmptyIcon=trashcan_emptyEncoding=UTF-8Icon=trashcan_fullName=TrashType=LinkURL=trash:/Ahora vamos a “Archivo” -> “Guardar como…” y le ponemos este nombre al archivo “Trash.desktop” (sin las comillas), una vez que guardamos el archivo al ir al escritorio ya tenemo
Antes de nada decir que el siguiente tutorial está pensado para un ordenador con tarjeta gráfica Intel (la mía) así que antes de nada asegurate del modelo de tarjeta gráfica que tienes. I have had way to many problems lately with Vista on my HP Pavilion dv9000 (specifically a dv9250us)... Quite frankly, it is pretty, but it really doesn't get the job done. Where did I turn?
