The most frustrating thing about the Metal Gear Online beta hasn't been the broken beta keys, the huge patch and client download or even the delay. It's trying to get a Konami ID from a website that simply refuses to work.Thankfully, that's in the past. Konami has retooled the ID registration website to be much more streamline and, as a result, much faster for all involved.So if you haven't managed to get your hands on a Konami ID, now's your chance. Cuando pasan este tipo de cosas, y no quiero poner enlaces de hechos cometidos por gente que sabe arrepentirse y rectificar como es debido; me hierve la sangre. Y es que, a pesar de que las versiones para X360 y PS3 tienen un cierto tufillo a rancio que las hace quedar muy por detrás de su rival (Fifa 08), en el caso de Nintendo Wii pasa exáctamente lo contrario. El juego tiene mejor pinta de lo que me esperaba tras ver los primeros scans de imágenes, tanto a nivel gráfico como jugable. Me atrae mucho la forma en la que se hacen los pases (apuntando al jugador que queires), los dribblings y los tiros. Aunque por otro lado, tengo miedo de que esta forma de jugar sea demasiado complicada, aunque sin duda da mucha más libertad de control del equipo y de la táctica. En todo caso, esto sí es next-gen:

The latest Konami Bemani titles, GuitarFreaksV4 and DrumManiaV4 launched their official website yesterday. With the wildly popular Guitar Hero brand and the upcoming Rock Band games owing their successes due to the foundation that Konami's titles laid in arcades, its going to be interesting to watch the reaction of the two scheduled arcade releases especially in the western fanbase.The first GuitarFreaks title to officially hit US arcades was considered a slight failure on the part of Konami USA due to the grossly limited track listing and a lackluster marketing campaign. Despite this failure however (and patent issues preventing Konami to wide release DrumMania stateside), the games have grown into a huge cult following in arcades that import the games from Japan. At the Comic-Con 2007 last weekend, Kotaku asked Konami’s marketing VP Anthony Kraus about Konami USA bringing over the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Collection from Japan. Mr. Kraus’ reply confirmed that they’re “considering it” with the sales team talking to retailers about potential interest in selling such a package. When asked if it would be the same collection package he said: “Very similar.” The above shown Metal Gear collection contains: the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops and DVDs Metal Gear Saga and The Document of Metal Gear Solid, at a cheap price of 6250 Yen in Japan (that’s only $52! or €39!).

In this post we feature a video of Konami’s E3 presentation of Silent Hill 5 for the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360. The game does look like it is going to be very good, while some gamers are comparing Silent Hill 5 to RE5, I feel they are a little of as RE5 is an action game now with horror elements while SH5 is a purist’s definition of a horror game, meaning ghosts, demons and gore. Time well tell if its going to be better than Silent Hill 4, although this is a game my wife could never sit and play (way to scary for her, especially with all that ambience pulling you into the game). A Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer that was re-released to fix some visual errors has unintentionally whipped the gaming community into a frenzy.The trailer was released on Konami's new Metal Gear 20th Anniversary website, and has quite a few noticeable differences between the original trailer which was released at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2006.The most striking of these differences is the removal of the Playstation 3 logo during the final credits, leading some gamers to believe that the game is no longer exclusive for the Playstation 3 platform.The Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer shown at the Tokyo Games Show also had its Playstation logo removed, which may indicate a pattern of change since E3 last year.....morehttp://rpc.icerocket.com:10080/

I'm a huge fan of the classic arcade music that Konami produced during the mid-80's. The Gradius and Contra themes are forever stuck with me. I can pretty much hum the whole songs without missing a beat. Fortunately for people like me who suffer from game music nostalgia, Konami has recently announced a deal with Sony BMG to provide Konami's library of music to major online retailers such as Itunes and Rhapsody. Though there are currently remixed versions of the songs already available on Itunes for download via Konami Defense System and Konami Kukeiha Club, this will be the first time that the original music from Konami's games will be available online. The code was inputted during the title screen. This gave your player 30 extra lives. For me, this code has extra signifigance. I got my first real girlfriend when I was 13 years old. I rode my bike to her house which was in some rich subdivision. I cuddled with her while watching The Little Mermaid, and then her mother came home. We decided to go into her basement rec room to play some nintendo. Once there we turned off the lights (much to her mothers dismay) and began playing contra together. We tried pausing the game, but apparently just the music going on without any explosions or sounds tipped off her mom to come back and make sure we weren't making out. Then I brought the mighty Konami code from the depths of my brain. After a few botched attempts I finally got it. As our avatars were being slaughtered on the first
