As a child I was, for a time, fascinated with computers. I even briefly entertained the idea that I would write a game in BASIC. The hours it took me to draw a slightly skewed line across the 16 color monitor of my Atari 800XL dispelled that notion almost as quickly as my prepubescent brain had latched on to it. In the legal game of ping pong that is the suit between Silicon Knights and Epic Games, the last volley was a counterclaim and a motion to dismiss from Epic. Epic's paperwork alleged that Silicon Knights'accusations were "lacking in factual or legal merit." SK's original claim against Epic basically said that Epic willfully "sabotaged" games using Unreal Engine 3, using money it got from selling the license to fund development of Gears of War. Epic argued that sabotaging its own licensees would end up costing the company money in the long run, and therefore made no sense. Silicon Knights scoffed at that argument, saying: Epic's assertion that it has 'a vested interest' in Silicon Knights' success and continued use of the Engine is far-fetched, at best. In the suit SK alleged that Epic did not deliver workable game code when it was promised, effectively sabotaging the development of Too Human. SK is seeking a clean break from its agreement with Epic as well as damages to compensate for the time and expense of building its own game engine. Let's hear from some House music masters...The two dudes who make up Inland Knights must not get alot of sleep. Because all they do is put out house records. Record after record after record and wouldn't you know every single dang one of them just bumps. Yeah, one could say that they are a bit formulaic, fat 4/4 beat + bouncy bass line + catchy synth hook + clever sample = an Inland Knights record... but every beat is fat, every bassline bounces, the hooks are catchy as hell and damn do they have an ear for samples. You could play a whole set of nothing but their records and people would go off... trust me, I've more or less done it! They are just plain good at house music, and that's all there is to that. The Poor Knights Islands are a small group of unihabited islands about 12 miles off the northern coast of New Zealand. They were designated as New Zealand's second marine reserve in 1981, and managed by the Department of Conservation. Permits are needed to land (usually only granted for scientific research purposes), but there are several tourist operations that conduct scuba dive operations. The Poor Knights is reckoned to be one of the top ten dive locations in the world.Schools of bottlenosed dolphins(Tursiops truncatus) and common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) can be seen feeding on shoals of fish, which they may well have herded to the surface, in this location. The general surface commotion which ensues, attracts flocks of seabirds - mostly southern black backed and red billed gulls. Herding behaviour has been seen in both species, as well as dusky, spinner, white-beaked and spotted dolphins.The common dolphin has 180 teeth in its jaw which it uses to hold the fish fast while it
