Kingfisher Airlines has been chosen the official carrier for the DLF Indian Premier league (IPL) cricket tournament beginning April 18 in Bangalore. I expected the Kingfisher ads to be flashy, glamorous but these ads were totally against my perception.The new series of campaigns are focused on the functional attributes of the airlines. Deviating from the usual flashy ads, Kingfisher is now appealing to the Left- brain of the consumers. Kick up your heels boys and girls and hear the Country & Western music. Kingfisher in de Pijp area of Amsterdam seems to want to breathe the atmosphere of the old fifties diners in the States. And although the bar with the red fridges give a cadillac type feel and the fact that it seems obligatory for women to wear cowboy boots here, it kind of misses the mark, because the rest of the decor doesn’t match.
