Ex-American Idol's Contestant and new Country Singer Kellie Pickler's father is in more trouble with the law in North Carolina. Clyde Pickler has been arrested on several charges including three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and one count of obtaining property under false pretense. Pickler was arrested back in February on allegations that he threatened his wife. He was released from a Florida prison in 2006 after serving a three-year sentence for stabbing his neighbor.Poor girl... she may have a fake a$$ and boobs but she is still a sweet girl

First, I'd like to introduce myself. I found this site a few days ago and have been pouring through all of the great threads and pattern reviews. My introduction to sewing was through Girl Scout's sewing badge, then I had a semester of sewing in my HS Freshman year of Home Ec. I don't know what to do... I went to JoAnn's today to pick up a few notions for the dress I'm making for the Vintage Contest. I always have to have a peek at the clearance section. To my delight, I stumbled across quite a few bolts of dupioni silk at $5 yard - one was even $3... I wound up taking seven of them, of which a couple had 5-7 yards left. Two of the silks are embroidered with a floral/leaf scrolly design. The total came to $199 (without notions that I originally went in for). I told my husband, who was not upset. But I feel so bad. I have no control when I'm looking at fabric. My stash has probably over a thousand yards of stash: bolts that no longer fit on the shelves in the sewing room closet, seven plastic bins, two rolls of velvet under the bed... Another thread about recommended body shape on Vogue Patterns made me look at my Vogue patterns. I'm currently working on my first Vogue. I didn't realize that Vogue did this. My pattern has an orange circle and in another square, an hourglass or egg timer symbol. What do these mean? I looked on their site, but didn't see anything that explains this. Thanks! I recently purchased a high end Husqvarna Sapphire 850. This is a dream machine and I absolutely love it so far. While discussing it with somebody, they mentioned that Husqvarna parts are difficult to get. I've not had any problems yet - the machine is new... but this comment had me wondering. Does anybody else study the shoes (and other accessories) on vintage patterns? Hats and gloves are quite obvious, but I LOVE looking at the shoe styles, heel height and shape, etc. The right shoes (and other accessories) really finish the vintage look! I've read and participated in various threads about fabric and our Personal Fabric Collections. I've also turned into a Pattern Junkie. Over the last four years or so, I've picked up so many patterns. I reckon I could sew for several years off of my existing fabric and patterns. I'll count my patterns later today, but I'm guessing I have around 250 - 300. Most of them are costumes and vintage, but I also have regular clothing and home furnishing ones too... I've not been collecting vintage patterns for that long, so I've been wondering if anybody here knows about the differences between the various Vogue designer patterns. Obviously, it was all about marketing the styles. But can anybody date or give a chronology of the labels? Which was introduced first? Which ones overlapped? Were some considered "higher end" than others? I've seen Vogue Special Design, Couturier and Paris Original. Are there others? Perhaps this is a daft request, but I figured if I've been wondering, others may wonder as well. And I'm sure some of you have the answers! Woo Hoo! Do you believe it!!! A 2008 Contest discussion is officially underway! I thought I'd better get things rolling, especially since many of us are busy and January 1 will be here before you know it!. I'd be grateful if you would share your thoughts and ideas for the One Fabric - Wool Contest; then we can provide the final rules and start sewing!!!!!! Here's what we have so far: One Fabric - Wool (Silk/Cotton/Knit will be held independently at different times of during the year - see the 2008 Contest thread). - Contest will run from Jan. 1 - Jan. 31 - This will be a new contest for 2008. In this contest participants will enter item made from the pre-determined fabric - Wool. - The item should be wearable and made from scratch. - Only one item per person can be entered in this contest. - There will be two winners (based on votes). Also, this is the first time I'm acting as a contest Manager. So if you're patient with me, I'll make sure to get all of your answers!
