Condemning the rally, which was held to welcome back hardliner separatist Syed Ali Geelani, who underwent cancer treatment in Mumbai, the BJP asked the government to take “immediate action” against the protesters.

Jammu, April 13 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said here Friday that the prime minister’s third round table conference (RTC) on Kashmir would be held in New Delhi on April 24.
Addressing a daylong convention of village elders, commonly known as ‘nambardars’ and ‘chowkidars’ here Friday, Azad said the decision was taken at a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Thursday evening.
Two round table conferences on Kashmir have already been held. Srinagar, Dec .20: Kashmir is reeling under a Cold Wave as temperatures dipped several degrees below normal in the valley.A thick mantle of fog covered the city on Wednesday morning, severely affecting movement of traffic, as visibility was reduced to barely a few meters.Weather officials said the fog is a sequel to western disturbances."The fog phenomenon according to our climatology comes about whenever the western disturbance passes through the hills or plains, following which three four days later, the fog sets in. This is natural because as soon as western disturbance passes through an area, the temperature dips several degrees below normal and frost sets on the ground. So, when the next day sun rises and temperature rises, we get to see shallow fog," said L.C. Rao, Director of the Meteorological Department.
