Real recognize Real.   Just Blaze gives Black Milk respect on his blog in a recent post. Speakin of Popular Demand, go pick up that Black Milk album out now. (Hey kid I’m a computer.. stop all the downloadin! No GI Joe) I had the pleasure of choppin it up and doing some crate digging with dude overseas a few months back. Had no idea he was responsible for some of my favorite later Slum records until a few hours later. Very understated, and quite underrated. Cool dude.. and makes some good music. FUN FACT #2: He bought the record he used to make this while we were digging in Australia. He bought like 8 records.. i bought like 80.. still don’t think I’ve found anything as dope as this in that stack yet.. ARGH

Dopeness, would be the appropriate nomenclature for this collection of songs and freestyles that Just Blaze has recently dropped on his blog themegatrondon. Please be forewarned, that most of these joints you have never heard and will want to hear again and again and again. So therein lies my dilemma. Know that I am siting here at work at this very moment, and for the last 3 hours have been trying to work through the list. But as it seems, this lesson remains a futile ambition. A brotha just can seem to get past “A for effort” by yours truly Mr. Common Sense. But ignore my rambling, twist your wrist and click the link to be taking to a universe of sick flows, sicker beats, and one of the more unconciously ridiculous combination of MC’s that I’ve encountered. After the break is Just’s latest interview on 106 & Park, its fairly brief, but the brotha does talks about two of his favorite productions of all time, and how he first became affiliated with the ROC. Also after the interview it cuts to one of my favorite joints of all time, Freeway’s - ‘What we do’ off of his freshman (and classic) album “Philadelphia Freeway“. Onsmash also said, “smh at them playing ‘Umbrella’ for name that beat”, but you do have to remember that the BET audience isn’t cultured at all, and their definitely not knowledgeable when it comes to hip-hop. I’m not one to believe the hype, I acknowledge nothing I hear and half of what I see before my own eyes.
