Commission Junction is another advertiser that I've been playing with. It's been ok so far, I've made about $90 from them to date. Commission Junction is what they call a "pay-per-action" advertiser whereas other companies like Google Adsense are pay-per-click. Obviously if you're website reader is performing some sort of action, it pays a lot better. For the most part some sort of transaction is taking place. It rained heavily this morning. I was contemplating staying at home to catch up with my beauty sleep but since I’m taking 5 days leave next week for Bali, I had to leave the house regretfully. The rain was still pouring. So, I tried to wait for the bus to bring me to the MRT station. However, 3 buses arrived but not to the MRT station that I wanted to go to. That was after 15 minutes. The bus finally arrived but it was full. The next bus arrived soon after, it was full too! WTH? Why can’t they get more buses during wet days?!

Opening to the excitable Cambridge crowd packed inside the intimate Junction venue was Medway-born folk rocker Tom Hull, better known as Kid Harpoon, and his band The Powers That Be. While I was perched on the seats outside the entrance to the Market Centre it rained, went dark as the clouds threatened a thunderstorm and then brightened up as the sun put in an appearance. Today's view is looking up the pedestrianised bit of Victoria Street. The Big Issue seller is in her usual spot but, like many others, dashed for cover twice as the rain stop-started over lunchtime. This is perhaps the busiest commercial bit of Crewe but you can see a number of To Let boards further down the street. With a good number of empty premises around the town centre you do wonder if all of the proposed units in the revamped shopping development will be filled. Crewe is a growing town but much work needs to be completed to entice shoppers who currently use Hanley, Manchester and Chester...

By Mark Russinovich Introduction Windows 2000 and higher supports directory symbolic links, where a directory serves as a symbolic link to another directory on the computer. For example, if the directory D:SYMLINK specified C:WINNTSYSTEM32 as its target, then an application accessing D:SYMLINKDRIVERS would in reality be accessing C:WINNTSYSTEM32DRIVERS. Directory symbolic links are known as NTFS junctions in Windows. Unfortunately, Windows comes with no tools for creating junctions - you have to purchase the Win2K Resource Kit, which comes with the linkd program for creating junctions. I therefore decided to write my own junction-creating tool: Junction. Junction not only allows you to create NTFS junctions, it allows you to see if files or directories are actually reparse points. Reparse points are the mechanism on which NTFS junctions are based, and they are used by Windows' Remote Storage Service (RSS), as well as volume mount points. Please read this Microsoft KB article
I realized recently it's been almost twenty years since I became vegetarian. I don’t remember exactly when or even why I stopped eating dead animals -- the decision was partly ethical (how can I eat them if I'm not willing to kill them?), partly health-related, and partly because I just lost the taste for them. The process happened slowly, starting with a gradual phasing out of flesh, then eliminating the consumption of fowl, and finally doing away with fish and other seafood (hence the "3 F's" in the title). Eggs, dairy products and honey remain in my diet, so I’m not a vegan, but my general rule is that I don’t eat anything that once had a face or a mother.It’s not a big deal to be vegetarian any more. Early in the day McVeigh went into Tom Manning's Firestone to have work done on his Pontiac. It was determined that the heads were blown, and instead of fixing it for $500 Manning sold McVeigh a Yellow Mercury for $250 plus the Pontiac. Commission Junction was one of the earliest money making programs that I joined when I first started this blog and so far it hasn't made me a penny. In my post Commission Junction Revisited I stated that one of the reasons I wasn't making any money with Commission Junction was that I was trying to promote too many products. To remedy this I have chosen to focus my attention on marketing KeyCompete, see my last post for more details of KeyCompete. For the next month I am going to concentrate my efforts on KeyCompete once the month is up I will review the results and either continue promoting the product or move onto something else. I will of course keep you updated with my progress.
