Banda de Liverpool que ha entrado con una canción recordando a Joy Division, esta producida por Stephen Harris (Kaiser Chiefs). The Wombats hicieron un álbum que se puso a la venta solo en Japón llamado Girls, Boys and Marsupials y ahora tenemos su nuevo álbum llamado A Guide To Love, Loss And Desperation, compuesto por canciones del anterior álbum pero esta vez se puede encontrar en todo el mundo. En este disco podéis encontrar canciones como Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Kill the Director, Backfire at the Disco (muy divertido el video) o Lost in the Post. En definitiva un pop-rock que nos animara.

Ya se publicó el trailer de la pelicula, con una duración de cuatro minutos, en lo particular me pareció estupendo…

Debo compartir el trailer con todo el mundo porque It was about time que alguien la hiciera! Y porqué no se me ocurrió a mí??!! (porque no tengo los recursos, ok). Bueno el día de estreno es el 26 de Septiembre en Francia! y qué sé yo cuándo los cines chilenos la vayan a tener, pero no importa. Esperaré pacientemente…

AAAaaaaaaaa! se me sale la faaaannnnnn que llevo dentro!!!!!
Während sich “New Order”, die Ãœberreste von Joy Division, wohl gerade frisch getrennt haben sollen, hat der Niederländer Anton Corbijn, der mit “Control” dem seligen Ian Curtis eine Hommage abliefert, das Festival in Cannes eröffnet. Ganz in schwarz-weiss gehalten, wird hier die (wohl nicht immer akurate) Biographie des Joy Division Sängers erzählt. Das ambivalente Leben und die Karriere von Ian bieten genug Sprengstoff, um bei einer Verfilmung leicht in melodramatischen Kitsch abzurutschen. Diese Gefahr, scheint es, hat “Control” sicher umschifft, waren doch die Kritiken für Sam Riley (Ian Curtis) und “Control” gnädig, erste Ausschnitte positiv. Ich darf mich freuen.
