This would be a great deal for both sides because the Twins recently lost Outfielder Torii Hunter to the Angels and need to replace his hitting in the outfiend. Now, the Cy Young award has a new owner: Johan Santana. What makes this year’s Cy Young so outstanding is the fact that Santana was an unanimous choice for the award (again). At the beginning of the year (probably around June 9th), there were a bunch of “What’s Wrong With Johan” articles, because Santana had started the season 6-6. This, of course, was dumb, because he had a 3.24 ERA, and had struck out 96 in 86 innings- there was very little wrong with Johan, beyond the fact that the Twins had scored three or less runs in 9 of his 13 starts.
