Joburg Art Fair, Johannesburg: The world's first contemporary African Art Fair
Sandton Convention Centres, Johannesburg. 13 au 16 mars 2008.The curated show As You Like It is a unique element of the Joburg Art Fair. Simon Njami and Thembinkosi Goniwe have selected 29 emergent contemporary artists to exhibit the ‘now’ of contemporary African art making. The show provides an overview of the general themes in contemporary African art along with a fresh perspective of the scope of the field itself.I'm really delighted to see such events promoting photography in Africa and more happy to see two Tunisian artists on the list, Africa needs a voice a way to show up the way it wants to, as a major photojournalism victim the stored life in the continent was always a wasted potential behind the scene of war and starving.Go to [Joburg Art Fair]

      Bloggerati Joburg
I'm sure all of us who live in Joburg got the invite to the Bloggerati Party on Saturday night. I would love to come, but I am too scared to. Why? You might ask.I am shitscared that someone is going to tell The Boyfriend what I have blogged about him. It's not like I've said anything mean about him, in fact my mother says he comes off as the victim in most scenarios. He knows I have a blog, but he doesn't know what I write on it. In fact, he'd never read it, because, well.... sadly, he's dyslexic and hates to readI'm also worried about meeting the people whose blogs I read and love. What if they're not like I pictured them, and I am totally disappointed?Maybe I should just stay at homeThereby keeping my idealist beautiful mental pictures of all bloggers out there intact. And thereby prevent

When the visitors arrived, the human population was enamored with, among other aspects, the aliens' advanced "bio-suits", and supposedly welcomed them with open arms. However, later on, the aliens began moving into other areas of the city, committing crimes in order to survive, and frequently clashing with the police. The film goes on, playing as a documentary, complete with interviews and footage taken from handheld cameras, highlights the growing tension between the civilian population and the visitors, especially once the ships began to steal electricity and other natural resources from the
