The result of "Super Sunday": Manchester UTD 3 - 1 Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC 2 - 1 Arsenal FC. Nothing impressive for me on such result. Seems Arsenal is hopeless for the Champion of Premium League this season. Actually Arsenal has got not eough depth for players, I mean there are only 12-18 [...]
Eilen Jewell’s love of music began on a 1500-mile family road trip from Anchorage, Alaska to her hometown of Boise, Idaho. Bundling his wife, daughter, week-old son, and husky dog into the family Volvo, Eilen’s father (a tree farmer from a long line of Idahoans) put on a tape of Beethoven’s piano sonatas and seven year-old Eilen was so fascinated, she begged her parents to let her take piano lessons when they got back to Boise. And the 26 year-old has been plunging headlong into anything and everything musical ever since. At 14, she dug her parents’ old records out of storage, a discovery which led her to pick up her first guitar. Her favorites from those dusty old boxes were Bob Dylan’s Bringing It All Back Home and a Sun Records Howling Wolf album. These discoveries eventually led the quiet teenager to the music of Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday who, along with Dylan and Howling Wolf, remain her biggest influences today.Five years later, at only 19, Eilen began perfor
Originally from NJ, I started getting serious about “commercial” art in High School, selling a few of my paintings and sculptures. I also made quite a name for myself in school by being banned from the HS art show. They say the content was a bit racy, I preferred to call it artsy.
Then came the big party, I mean college, the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. After my first year of school, I was sucked into an ad agency, doing some illustration work but mostly paste-ups and mechanicals, I sure do miss the smell of rubber cement and a waxer (ask your parents about that kids!). Working in NJ agencies I built a nice portfolio, and set my sights on North Carolina where I could afford a house on the artist’s salary.
In NC I landed a job with a FireFly Balloons, a hot air balloon manufacturer, managing their graphics department. We would design and build balloons for corporations tired of the same old advertising media. Working that gig for about 4 years exposed me to workin
Blimey there’s been plenty of fallout over the Wigan game after Phil Dowd’s horror show at the Emirates. A lot has been written about his numerous balls ups on this site but leaving both sets of fans irate at the end of the game speaks volumes for his incompetence and inconsistency. Fellow fatty and Wigan boss Paul Jewell has landed himself in hot water with the FA following his post-game rant regarding Dowd’s performance and faces an improper conduct charge.
After our 2-1 victory Jewell said: "Dowd has cost our team the points - it could cost us £50m."
Nothing to do with the run of eight consecutive defeats before the victory over Pompey a couple of weeks ago then that’s left you a relegation dog-fight then Paul? There’s also been a barrage of vitriol aimed at hairy cnut Richard Keys and his cronies at Sky. I was at the game Sunday and haven’t seen any of the footage but going on what’s been written and what I have seen on Sk
