So, with all that Coachella business going on the past couple months, there hasn't been much Jazz going on 'round here. I Can’t Remember to Forget by Charlie Barnet is one of our music downloads today. It’s a jazz rendition of the oft-covered song. Charlie Barnet led what was known as “The Blackest White Band Of Them All.” He was an American jazz saxophonist and bandleader who was born in New York City.
He was one of the first bandleaders to integrate his band - he had both Black and white members. He loved jazz greats Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Barnet was most popular between 1939 and 1941.
In actually retired at age 26! His family was wealthy so he didn’t need to support himself. They wanted him to become a lawyer but he became a musician. He was married several times (at least six and some say eleven). Barnet was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1984.
Jazzy is a 9 year old Quarter Pony with an amazing personality. She is a great western pleasure pony, knows barrels and poles, and has been on many trail rides. If you are looking for a good 4-H project, with personality and spirit, she's your girl. She is a great pony for any beginner to boost their confidence in horses. She is a very personal horse, loves to be by your side when you are working in the field, and is a good babysitter for the kids when they are off riding. HOUSE OF GLITZ has just learned that Will Smith is planning a reunion tour with his old partner Jazzy Jeff.
Will and Jazzy found fame in the 1980s and 1990s with hit records like Parents Just Don't Understand and Summertime, and won the first ever Grammy in the Rap category in 1989.
Now Will has promised to put his hugely successful movie career on hold to reunite with his old pal. Will explains, "We always talk about doing a Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince record and a huge tour, we just have to clear the time to do it. Right now, the plan is we are supposed to go out on tour together at the end of this year."
