The singer threw a surprise birthday party for Byfield in Birmingham on Sunday night after performing at London’s Olympia. At the party Byfield proposed to Jamelia in front of family and friends. "Superstar" Jamelia Has Split With Her Record Label EMI Records.The UK singer has said that it was due to the low sales & poor promotion of her latest album "Walk With Me", while of course her label blame her for the poor sales. Personally, I would back Jamelia all the way, this girl can do no wrong, she doesn't seem to have a nasty bone in her body, "Walk With Me" was an adequate alum, some nice production & good vocals.Jamelia has been with EMI since she was 16, she was always talking about the EMI A&R team & I think she will miss the familiarity of it all, a new album is rumoured to be in the works, but I don't know which label she will move to.

Jamelia's video for the follow up to the powerful Beware Of The Dog single has just been released. No More is the third single from Walk With Me, and just like the previous second single, heavily samples a hit from the past. Golden Brown by The Stranglers is now the sampled track and if No More follows Beware Of The Dog's footsteps, it should cause more controversy around Jamelia and her songwriting skills. If you recall as I do, Jamelia was very criticized to use a sample of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. Although the track is a masterpiece (at least, I think so), it was only a moderate hit scoring a number 10 on the UK Charts. No More is as good as Beware Of The Dog, and I hope it'll peak a bit higher on the charts so Jamelia have another top 5 hit (just because she deserves it). It will be released after Girls Aloud vs. Sugababes' Walk This Way, and in the same week as Fergie's Glamorous and Hilary Duff's With Love, so I don't think it has a very strong competition. The vide
