With the warm summer days coming upon us, any biker may be wondering: which jacket works best in the heat? The answer is "mesh," hands down. Perforated leather can still provide some airflow, but not as efficiently as the mesh texture that allows for maximum air intake. Light colored material is preferable, rather than dark colors that absorb more heat than you want. If purchasing a jacket that will be used in a variety of weather patterns, consider finding one that has multiple removable layers, sometimes 2 or 3 that can be unzipped or velcro'd together. Kenpo, one of the early integrator of iPod control into jackets hasn’t been on my radar for a while so I looked around and discovered a complete line of good looking jackets for men and a smaller selection for women. Kenpo seems to be very active in the iPod Fashion segment with their iPod ready jackets. The bonded fleece jacket for men (see photo below) is for me the most visually appealing in their current ‘Made for iPod’ jacket line. What the hell, this game comes on too early (2:00 PST). I'll miss most of it as my wife and myself are going for a cruise out into the boonies to see a shoe house. It's about an hour drive from here. Yea, you read that correctly. We shut out the former Stanley Cup champions in our home opener. It was amazing you couldn't have asked for a better game. Ilya Bryzgalov was in net for the Ducks and Pascal Leclaire was in net for the Jackets. Leclaire proved to me he can be a good goalie...now he just needs to keep it up. Nash scored twice and got two assists on the night. Feds had a goal and an assist as did Ron Hainsey. The former Stanley Cup Champs couldn't get their first shot on goal until 16 minutes into the game. We dominated the play and the Jackets earned this win. Shots on goal were 37 (CBJ) to 28 (ANA). It was an impressive win and we got to hear the cannon go off a total of 6 times. It was pretty sweet to say the least. Kris Beech is a former first round pick...he was drafted 7th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in 173 NHL games and has scored 19 goals and 37 assists (56 points) with 109 penalty minutes. TSN has his assets as: Skates well for a 6-2 center. Has terrific playmaking ability and makes his linemates look good with his creativity. Already owns a defensive conscience. His flaws as: Must handle expectations better and adjust his game to fit any style of play. Will never be confused with a natural goal-scorer. From what Shmee has told me he has a ton of potential but tends to be a little lazy. But, I'd say we have the best coach in the league for lazy players so I don't doubt that Hitch will be able to make him work. The Dispatch is announcing that the Blue Jackets have signed first round draft pick Jakub Voracek to a three year entry level contract. Voracek will make $875,000 each season of the contract. They are expecting the Blue Jackets to make an announcement today.UPDATE It's Official.
