Assim foi o concerto de Jack Johnson no passado dia 26 de Junho, em Lisboa.
O espectáculo, propriamente dito, começou com Mason Jennings e G. Love & Special Sauce, que tiveram a seu cargo a primeira parte do concerto.

“Here comes the music.” With words going 70 miles an hour, this is fun stuff – I can picture the rodeo clowns running around the ring to the beat wildly making sure the guy laying flat on his back doesn’t get trampled by the bull. It’s fun to try to figure out who thought of that sport. As much fun as figuring out who figured out it’s okay to eat something that popped out of a chicken. Someone had to come up with it. Around here the kids are practicing pig wrestling so they can win a belt buckle. Weird what people do. The shoutout tune has fewer tongue excercises, Let Your Dreams Be Dreams (“you know this living ain’t as hard as it seems”). Good philosophical advice wrapped in a fun acoustic tune. Jack Johnson
“Sleep Through The Static” is a mediocre album, leaving me in a state of melancholy loneliness that can only be remedied by listening to earlier albums like “Bushfire Fairytales”, “In Between Dreams”, “On and On” and "Curios George” – all are Johnson’s previous albums. I am not a Jack Johnson junkie though I have to admit that I have all his previous albums and there is no doubt that he, as a performer was one of those certified audiophiles, but there’s really nothing much on this album. It was a shame for me because I pre-listen all the 30-seconder preview of the tracks and I must say that I got curious so I bought the album. Ironically, I totally lost interest on the whole album after I played all the tracks not just once but thrice with the benefit of the doubt t

Some of you have probably heard by now, but Jack Johnson has announced a massive one off UK show next summer.
He’ll play London’s Hyde Park on Wednesday 2nd July next year. Why it’s a Wednesday and not a weekend is anyone’s guess, but that’s when he plays, so go get your tickets.
He’ll be providing a whole day of entertainment, with support from G Love & Special Sauce and Mason Jennings, along with others to be announced.
Tickets are on presale now from his official website, or from tomorrow, Thursday 6th December, on general sale.
