Invite Share was opened a few days ago. The idea behind Invite Share is that it can be a central hub for everyone that wants to share their invites to private beta sites like Pownce and Joost. Your requests are filled in wicked fast time. I hopped on there today to request a Moola invite. I got the invite in minutes from a wonderful chap in Canada. So Why was today Invite Share’s luck day? They got bought by TechCrunch for $25,000. What? They sold the site for only $25,000? When it was bought there were close to 14,000 registered users that puts the cost per user at close to just $2. The normal going rate on much bigger sites is closer to $10. With the huge growth that many cities and towns are experiencing we see the dwindling of Natural Meadows. With the absence of natural meadows, the habitat for butterflies, birds and other wildlife are dwindling too. Luckily butterflies are easily enticed back if you plant a garden where the caterpillar (pupa stage) has plants to eat and the butterfly has flowers to sip nectar. Butterfly gardens are easy to plant and will give you and your family a chance to see butterflies in their natural habitat. The basics are an open space with tons of sunshine and a shield from wind. Pick a site with lots of sunlight with a few rocks or stones that can heat up on which the butterflies can bask in the afternoon sun. Try to place your garden near hedges or shrubs that will help shield them from the strong winds. If it is too windy, the butterflies won’t stay around for long. I was under the impression that the number of people asking for invites would slow, considering I originally put up the post a week ago and it didn’t seem to garner much attention from certain sources, but that appears not to be the case. Instead of shrinking as I send off invites, it is actually growing. Currently there are 17 people awaiting an invite. Not a huge number, but with only 4 going out at any one time, and not every person activating there invite the second they get it, it takes a while to get through them. Until they cut me off, of course, I plan on sending them out as soon as I am able to (when a person activates theirs) but for the moment know that you are not being ignored. For those of you that might not have checked the comments in the other thread and wonder why you haven’t gotten your invite, here’s what’s going on. I am allowed to send out 4 invites at any given time. Once a person activates their account with the key that was sent to them I can invite another person.
