      The Inventor of Oil Paintings
By Sara Swansson In comparison to many other art forms, oil painting is still considered relatively new. Oil painting is the use of oil in pigments in order to paint. Oil paintings date back to the 1400's. Before oil painting, paint was mixed with plaster found in frescoes or egg in tempera paints. The invention of oil paintings occurred because of a new desire for realism in art. Jan Van Eyck is the man credited with the invention of oil painting. The desire for a more realistic look in art started in early fifteenth century Europe. Previously, art was very mythological and decorative, but with the onset of the Renaissance, artists began to understand concepts and laws behind the ideas of perspective and colors. As a result, more artists began painting realer images. Jan Van Eyck had a desire to mimic nature in his paintings. In order to achieve his goal, he painted every minute detail about the object he could. Van Eyck's attention to detail allowed his paintings to seem alive.

Davison Helps Inventor: Sports fan finds success with Zip Guard invention
Taking an idea to the market is no easy task. Getting players from Red Sox, Knicks, Yankees and celebrities like Roberto Clemente Jr. and even Jerry Seinfeld to wear it is an even more difficult task. But for 43-year-old Alberto Spies of New York he accomplished all of this despite setbacks along the way over an eight-year period."I paid my dues," Spies explained. "I threw my whole life work into this. I'm surprised I did this on my own."In 1999, Spies created the Zip Guard with the help of Davison and the Inventegration® process. Spies designed the Zip Guard with Davison to protect baseball players' forearms, while keeping their tendons tight and reducing sweat. It's perfect for batting especially, preventing vibration in the hands. However, throughout the years, the idea moved on to include basketball, tennis and other sports. Spies mentioned that it prevents scrapes on the forearm while playing basketball or when sliding into a base during baseball. The Zip Guard also underwent

Michael Brown, Inventor Of The “Cram It” Method In Photography.
I can’t help but to get a good laugh out of all this! I was looking at my WordPress stats the other week, and noticed quite a few hits coming from a forum over in France. Not a large forum, as it looked like it might have been a forum for a camera club. I noticed the link to “Macro Art In Nature”, so my curiosity got the best of me as I went to my translator to translate for me what was being said. The whole thread was about the “Cram It” method, a technique that Michael Brown had created to create the images that can be found on his site. Another forum that I have seen recently also had a long thread about the cram it method, a method that Michael Brown came up with. And just yesterday, I came across another small forum where a guy asks in a thread, “Will someone kindly point me to the information on Michael Brown’s “cram it” method?” “I want to give this a try.” Then in the same thread, someone else asked, &hell
