This quiet Ann Arbor intersection will likely see some changes in the near future.The recently completed Skyline High School is just one mile north of the currently vacant Miller/Maple intersection. However the fall beginning of school promises to change that status. I just learned that it is estimated that divorce among parents of children with severe disabilities is above 85%. This makes me very sad.I suppose that it is not surprising that the divorce rate is so high. The general rate of divorce for marriages in the United States is about 50%. If you add to that the extreme stress and expense of having a child with a severe disability, it stands to reason that the rate of divorce would be much higher. Contractors for the Virginia Department of Transportation will completely close the intersection of Churchville Avenue and N. Augusta Street in Staunton for underground utility relocation work beginning Thursday, March 29. The intersection and adjoining areas will be closed to all traffic around the clock for at least three-weeks. All traffic will be detoured around the construction area. The utility relocation work, which has been ongoing along other sections of Churchville Avenue for some time, is part of preparations for the widening of Churchville Avenue.
