Electric Light Orchestra - Whisper In The Night (Musical Interlude)
When the mighty Move finally dissolved the name after four sterling albums and only two of the original members remaining (Roy Wood and Bev Bevan, from what had initially been a five-piece band); along with third member Jeff Lynne they quickly became the Electric Light Orchestra. One might’ve heard of them. Not the most interesting beginning [...]

Mick Jagger - Memo From Turner (Musical Interlude)
Some see the 1970 film Perfomance as being a modern-masterpiece of art-house cinema. Others see it for the industrial vat of codswallop it actually is. However, it does have one redeeming moment in the song ‘Memo From Turner’ , sung by a certain Mick Jagger. This vid is from the actual film, and therefore representitive of its [...]

The Move - Fire Brigade (Musical Interlude)
Jeffman has returned from a rather damp holiday, just in time to restore a bit of decorum to this nonsensical device they call the internet. Firstly, a musical interlude is in order, to calm any nerves that might’ve been frayed during my self-enforced cyberspace exile. And it has to be said that any song beginning with the [...]

      "An Interlude"
I remember the way we parted, The day and the way we met; I hoped we were both broken-hearted, And knew we should both forget. And the best and the worst of it this is That neither is most to blame If you've forgotten my kisses And I've forgotten your name.

Wahey! The house band are back. The Move provide the musical interlude yet again. If I’m displaying a Brummie bias, then shoot me down. Say, at least three minutes travel and that leaves a minute to save the world. And if it's something you can do in a minutes it's probably not that complicated, so someone else could probably do it. In fact, if you called them on their mobile and talked them through it you could get it done in less time than it would take you to get there. Inspirational Interlude
The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is not in your environment; it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone. — Orison Swett Marden The quote above rang true for me when I came across it in a journal I received as part of my company’s 2-day culture shaping workshop. I’ve often used quotes as motivational tools for staff, and myself, and I drew an instant connection between the message in this one and my solo backpacking trip. I interpret it to mean the growth and personal potential I hope to realize is within my power to achieve, and not by a simple change in physical location, the luck of the Irish, or support of others. I have the power to realize my full potential here and now, in my seat, at my computer desk in Arlington, Virginia, USA. Of course, I think it’ll be a heck of a lot more fun to “be here and now” while sipping a Capirinha on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro!! Inspiration, Pre trip

      Cairns Interlude
Just spent 10 days in Hervey Bay, where I went to see two very good friends of mine, Jeff and Emma. I had worked together with both of them in Indonesia and it was great seeing them again. We didn’t do anything, except drinking lots of beer, working on our tan, cooking lots of great food and having loads of fun! Yesterday Dominique and I spent the whole day putting up and handing out flyers to our fellow travellers here in Cairns, because we’re driving to Darwin tomorrow and were looking for people to share the cost. Katrina has decided to stay in Cairns, settle down a bit and get a job. We, on the other hand, are meeting up with Benn and the rest of the road workers we met in Sydney in Darwin! There I will stay for about a week and then I’m off to Indonesia! I’m really looking forward to that. I will try to make my way all the way overland from Bali to the Alor Atoll east of Flores. "- Justin Timberlake.Picture this: A warm summer night in mid April, about three years after their mere souls had met. Right next to the wall on which they planted the Honeysuckle with its sweet white yellowish flowers which aroma was delightfully covering the whole garden, by that time reduced to become a garage for His family's cars, right on top of the large marble steps that lead to His family's house entrance; Digg stood in front of Him shacked, unfocused with an urge to cry, if only his head could fully get what He was telling him. There, right infront of Digg, He was sitting, crossing his legs while wearing a white sortie-de-bain that He had bought earlier from Malaysia. Calmly and confidently, He was stressing on one decision, His own. That time, He did
