Like it or not, the Internet is changing, and it is changing fast. This change, however, is in our favor. In favor, that is, of individuals, small businesses, authors, and small presses. Web 2.0 and Social Media are here to stay, and are likely the beginning infrastructure of a fresh, new Internet. So, if you [...]
I seem to spend a lot of my time using email and the internet. Whether at home or at work I seem to be pretty much permanently attached to a computer.
I increasingly find email an irksome way to communicate. Generally speaking the email system is overstretched. Example: at work they email server has a filter attached to it. Every incoming email is scanned and those that are flagged (whether it
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Four bold, savvy projects – including Web sites that reveal corporate whitewashing of Wikipedia entries, help people map political violence in Kenya, separate fact from falsehood in the 2008 presidential campaign, and deliver hyperlocal coverage of development in the District of Columbia’s most neglected quadrant – are finalists for the Grand Prize in this year’s Knigh
One of the most important ways to learning and mastering the English Language is to read, read, and read. It is said that a good reader is also a good writer and a good speaker. One’s proficiency in English hinges a lot on his interest and patience in reading. And so, it’s always best to [...]
One of the key benefits that came from the existence of 18 Doughty Street - whatever you thought of the overall balance (old bones that I am not interested in gnawing) - was the opportunity for political bloggers to talk and debate together, and to interact with the wider political blogosphere instantaneously.

I am a fervent supporter of making digital signage interactive, as evidenced by my company's work with innovative mobile technology company MegaPhone. Giving people the ability to interact with digital signage networks, billboards, and screens in commercial and public spaces further connects them to brands through an entertaining experience. Building a richer experience and conversation, represents the fullness of digital signage interactivity.Interactivity drives consumer participation, loyalty, and adds exponential value to digital signage...contributing to what draws people to look at, and pay attention to, digital screens. Whether interactivity is facilitated via touch, gesture control, or through the use of one's mobile phone (MegaPhone), the added feature drives engagement, involveme
It occurred to me in the past few weeks that there was some kind of missing link in the evolutionary state of the twenty first century corporation towards interactivity. As expressed in an earlier article entitled "15 golden rules for...
I want to make this blog a bit more interactive, by that I mean more reader involvement, I want the readers of this blog to interact with it in some way, but I don't know what to do. I've added a weekly poll to the sidebar, this is pretty boring I know, but it was all I could think of, please do vote on this weeks question though even if it's to say "I don't care".So, what else can I do? I'm going to ask for your help in this, what can I do to make this blog more interactive? If you have any suggestions please put them in a comment to this post, I'll even throw in 50 Entrecard Credits for the best suggestion. I know 50 credits isn't much with all these contests offering 1000s of credits around, but you don't have to write a post about this or subscribe to my feed, all I'm asking for are so
I have been playing around with various ways to make this website more interactive. It may be a sign of boredom, but its fun and please feel free to steal any code that you like. The most recent widget that I have come across is the frappr map - please add yourself to "Mr Science World" and say hi. I'd love to know where you are all from. I'll leave the map in the sidebar into the future, but for now, here it is....Another interesting website is digg. Using digg, you can submit stories you like, and on their home page they list the stories with the most "diggs" - so the reader chooses the news he wants to hear about. They have recently introduced a podcast list, so you can now digg podcasts. To digg the Mr Science Show Podcast, go here
Using the Build-A-Bear Workshop model of success, the first key point I would like to discuss when marketing to children online is INTERACTIVITY.
Build-A-Bear makes use of this interactivity not only in their store, but also on their website as well. They are so clever over there at BABW!
