REDUCTION IN INSTITUTIONAL CHURCH NUMBERS MIGHT NOT BE A BAD THING
George Will concludes a commentary entitled, "Episcopal churches insist on the ordination of gay clergy", by stating the following:"The Episcopal Church once was America's upper crust at prayer. Today it is "progressive" politics cloaked - very thinly - in piety. Episcopalians' discontents tell a cautionary tale for political as well as religious associations. Handbook of IPv4 to IPv6 Transition: Methodologies for Institutional and CorporaPDF 248 pages 3,5 MbIn 2005, the U.S. Government Accountability Office recommended that all agencies begin planning a coherent transition to IPv6. IPv6 will solve the problem of limited IP addresses and improve internetworking capabilities. This promising protocol is gaining momentum and it is only a matter of time before the transition will have to occur globally. The problem is that during the three-to-six year transition period, IPv6 and its predecessor, IPv4, will have to successfully coexist in order to ensure service continuity. Not only federal agencies, but corporations and institutions must start planning the transition to IPv6 now to maintain the operation, security, and interoperability of their net

Are You An Institutional, Dominant or Persuasive Leader? The following is extracted from the aforementioned paper by in the Journal of the National Institute of Industrial Psychology written in 1926. While it was written more than three quarters of a century ago, it is still relevant today as it points to human nature, which really hasn't evolved much over this time. As you read it, please pay attention and identify what type of leader you are and also see to what degree you are able to embrace the suggestion that the present and future age is that of the Persuasive Leader who needs to be skilled at the art of Inter-Personal and Intra-Personal Communication.THE SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY OF LEADERSHIP by F.C. Like many students money is an issue when it comes to buying the needed books and equipment for the course. As you may already know, Pusle suffers from hypermobility to such a degree that she is considered disabled. This means that her major source of income comes from the government and unlike other students she is unable to go out and get another job to bring in some extra money to cover the costs. American Institutional Jihad: ‘The Islam Project’
Take a deep breath. Breathe out. Take another. Inhale. Breathe out. Nice and relaxed? Good. I want you to be ready for what you’re about to look at. First here’s a description from Pamela Hall of Stop the Madrassa (via a story over @ Michelle Malkin) that ties into a previous couple of reports here on the ‘Arabic’ school being built in New York City, “Khalil Gibran International Academy.” As you will see, the problem runs much deeper than just that academy. The ramifications are, well, nothing short of alarming: This is a project run by people like the convert Susan Douglass of the Council on Islamic Education and the Islamic Society of North America. They are very well organized and have been orchestrating this comprehensive educational plan for many years with great success. Douglass has been very active and effective in Islamicizing the curriculum and textbooks used in the California public schools, the largest textbook market in the cou

Institutional Jihad: Saudi influence in U.S. classrooms
Yet another institutional jihad alert along the same lines as other reports that I’ve brought to you here at the Anvil this year. I first noticed this report over at Michelle Malkin, but be sure to read all of the Stanley Kurtz article from which the following is an important excerpt: Believe it or not, the Saudis have figured out how to make an end-run around America’s K-12 curriculum safeguards, thereby gaining control over much of what children in the United States learn about the Middle East. While we’ve had only limited success paring back education for Islamist fundamentalism abroad, the Saudis have taken a surprising degree of control over America’s Middle-East studies curriculum at home. How did they do it? Very carefully…and very cleverly. It turns out that the system of federal subsidies to university programs of Middle East Studies (under Title VI of the Higher Education Act) has been serving as a kind of Trojan horse for Saudi influence over America

Dr. Federici, a renowned adoption phycologist has done a vast amount of research on this topic and written numerous articles. He and M. Thursday Thirteen #6: Thirteen Things I Don't Miss About the Institutional Church
Thirteen Things I Don't Miss About the Institutional ChurchPeople keep asking me if I miss church. How many ways can I say "no"? Not in the least. So here are thirteen of the things I specifically do not miss about being a member of the institutional church.1. Giving up endless hours of my life every week performing various types of service for the congregation. How in the world did I do it all? That's the biggest mystery. Given how busy I am, I can't understand how I managed to donate so many hours every single week.2. Getting up early on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday I slept until almost 10:00 a.m. Wow, did that feel great or what? (I don't recall being out of bed any Sunday since the last time I went to church before 9:00 a.m.)3. Sitting through a long, rambling sermon that had no relevance to my life or the issues I face.4. Reciting the same liturgy week after week after week after week after week after week after week after week after week after week after wee

MT 5: From Institutional Programs to Incarnational Practices
Missional Transformation is a process where believers align themselves (passions, desires, behaviors, habits) with the redemptive mission of Jesus. It's becoming a missionary everywhere you are! It’s adopting the posture of a missionary in order to engage those in the culture with the Gospel message. It’s recognizing that every believer has been sent by Jesus as Christian missionaries with the Good News of Salvation together in community with other believers to their specific geographic and cultural context.Missional Transformation requires significant shifts in the way you participate with Christ and His kingdom.Shift 5: From Institutional Programs to Incarnational PracticesWhy are churches so program driven? I remember when one of my friends became pastor of a church that had an AWANA program. I had never participated in Awana, so I did not fully understand the ramifications of pastoring an “Awana church.” Essentially, the program ran the church. It sucked up all available v

New Institutional Approach to Forest Property Right
II. New institutional approach (NIE) has been a path-breaking approach to the understanding of capitalism (Ankarloo, 2002). NIE has significant contribution because it attempts to make neo-classical economics more historical, realistic and social in its approach. That is why institutions become important to reflect an idea of well-functioning market economy will work if institutional framework is effective. In the NIE point of view, institution exists as a means of reducing transaction and information costs (Stein 1994:1835). The theory assumed that market is imperfect and information is asymmetric in the case that price information on particular product is received differently between the buyers and the sellers. Consequently NIE explains rationality arising out of asymmetric information is bounded depend on information that each parties have.
