A trend to emerge from the Resort collection this season are these long flowly maxi dresses with bold prints. There is a mild hint of bohemian but not too much to get me turned off.I never wore a maxi dress before but I would consider if it was made of silk like the ones above.
I wear short shorts!Yes, since NYC is like a boiling pot of heat and humidity my main zone of being comfortable while walking the blazing sidewalks have been my short shorts. Granted my shorts are not that short but it's appropriate for school and other places that I go. Shorts have come a long way since playing in the sandbox as a child to now with the right length and cut can transfer to t
Today I saw Matt at the Astor Place station what stood out about him wasn't his blond hair or patent leather bag it was his high top YSL sneakers. In the wake of YSL death it's great to know his influence can not be only seen on the runway but in the streets as well.
pic: Anna Molinari, Anna Sui, Philosophy, Tommy HilfigerI usually associate stripes to the like of Andy Warhol's silver factory in the 60's to the Beetlejuice film with Val Kilmer. However many designers inspiration varied to many different forms to incooperate stripes. For spring I particularly adore the black and white stripe bathing suit on model Siri Tollerød for Anna Molinari because the st
Agricultural and forestry farms across the nation will undergo inspections in an effort to solve land-use problems, said a senior agricultural official.
The move follows concerns over the inefficient management of land at State farms.
One problem was the illegal renting and borrowing of 7,700ha of State-run farms, out of a total of about 5mil hectares under State management, which has left many
Kathy Toth and Team Help Home Sellers in the Ann Arbor Real Estate Market Get Homes in Top Shape What is the Big Risk Once Homes Sellers Get an Offer? The home inspection may uncover defects unknown to the Homes Seller that might put the transaction at risk. Most Sellers would benefit if they knew about costly defects and safety issues before accepting an offer. Home inspectors usually provide a visual examination of a home for buyers before purchase. Inspectors investigate attics, crawl spaces, test appliances, and evaluate major mechanicals, plumbing, etc. Sellers who are aware of the physical condition of the house and its systems prior to sale have an opportunity to repair or replace the defects before the negotiation phase. Clearly any safety issues should be identified by Sellers and or Buyers. Sellers who ensure top condition better chances of a smooth sale. Top: Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Nina Ricci, Miu MiuBottom: Dsquared, Pucci, Fendi, ChloeThere's no doubt that there were fierce shoes that came down the runway this season especially in the Europeam shows. But what my caught eyes the most was the decorate heels or no heels in Marc Jacobs case, that kept the models upfloat. There heels were embellished in chains, very goemetric shaped, round or indented. I think what fashionistas will so focus on will not only be having a fabulous pair of shoes for the spring but shoes with a kick ass heel.
It seems that slouchy bags are slowly going away as structured bags bag are surfacing. On the Fall runways bags were big in a dimensional shape of square and rectangular. Bags also has textured with fur or croc-skin with gold or silver hardware embellishments.Top (left to right):Burberry, Calvin Klein, Dolce &GabbanaBottom(left to right):Gucci, Prada, VersaceCheck these pictures I took of women around NYC carrying their bags. pics courtesey of style.com
In Qatar, cars older than three years must have a yearly check. Fortunately, getting the technical inspection done is surprisingly painless. Once you have managed to actually get to the traffic inspection company (through the traffic snarls and potholes of the industrial area), the process is fast and efficient. The inspection itself is meticulous. There are two areas you need to pass: the technical test, which evaluates the condition of the car, and the legal test. On the legal test you can fail on things such as a bad scratch or having dark windows (these need a police report in Qatar).Getting thereIt’s best to avoid busy Salwa Road and the awful roundabout at the end of it. Instead, take Muntazah street. Be careful - although this is a three lane highway with only desert to each side, the speed limit is 100 kmph , not 120, and there are speed cameras. This road will deliver you into the middle of the Industrial area, avoiding some of the worst roads. When you get to the Industrial

Versace, Lanvin, Matthew Williamson, Giles, Preen, Bruno PietersIt was wild to see many designers for the fall 2007 collection presentations to pop up their collection by having a few garments that were a brust of color. Fall season is usually a black/gray color season so it was really lovely when a designer a la Versace during the runway presentation showed looks of black and gray to turn it up and show a few looks with solid colors of blue, green and red (it was really eye popping on style.com). Then there was Matthew Williamson collection which majority of his collection was full with color and definitely one of my favorite this season. I just love when designers think outside of the box when it come to expectations for the season and give us looks that's literally are a delight for our eyes. Pics from style.com
There is something sexy, slimming and daring when is black is mix with black. Many designers during Milan and Paris fashion week mixed it up with different textures, fabrics and accessories but still staying all black. What I love about black is that anyone, any shape or size can pull this color off.Below are my favorite looks off this season runways: Dsquared2, Versace, Givenchy, Burberry, HermesRunway pics courtesy of style.com
One of the most refreshing looks to grace the runway this fashion week season was the wide leg pants. For most of the past year everything has been about the skinny jeans and everything tight. Marc Jacobs said it best," Sexy doesn't have to mean a pair of tight pants or a low cut dress. I think it's very beautiful and much more interesting to see a girl body through a big transparent sort of voluminous pant then it is to see it in a tight knee length skirt, at the moment."The RunwayMatthew Williamson, Badgley Mischka, Marc by Marc JacobsThe Street Way Runway pics courtesy of style.comStreet way pic far right: stylediary.net, the rest I can't remember, sorry.Marc Jacobs quote courtesy of VideoFashion ep.45
At least that's what the sheet of paper at the bottom of the carton told me.
Upon reading that I laughed like a lunatic for quite some time. It seemed funny to me that they put things like that in the bottom of shipping boxes. It it had been 100% inspected, why was the sheet on the BOTTOM of th box? And if the carton had only been 48% inspected, would they have left me a sheet of paper in the carton telling me so?
I checked my blog's stats recently, and was slightly appalled to find that "fat people" and "steaming pile of shit" are tied for the #1 search. I was amused to see that at least one person found me by Googling "Why do retail customers suck so bad"
Saturday we went to see "Hannibal Rising" and I left the theater thinking something similar to that last search query. "What did that movie suck so bad?" I borderline hated it, which is odd, because I've liked all the others. I chalk it up to the time the movie is set in. The older a movie
