The new Blogger widget based template that built on XML specification has a feature to add Google AdSense ad unit inline between posts. These inline ads appear between 2 blog posts on homepage, archive and category or label pages, or after the blog content when the single post is viewed individually. However, the placement is kind of awkward and low performing in term of click through rate (CTR).A lot of bloggers have put Google AdSense ad code inside the post or wrap the ad unit around blog post by editing template’s HTML to insert modified ad code manually. Some users may feel uneasy on modifying the AdSense ad code as it may violates AdSense TOS. Anyway, there is another workaround to put AdSense ads in Blogger posts, by using trick to move or duplicate built-in inline ads between pos

Google plans to start selling inline video advertising in videos as part of its video advertising program. The new ads will act as overlays in video streams and will appear on top of videos as they are being played. Google has already lined up 20 customers including Brightcove whose customers include Time Warner, Discovery Communications, and CBS Corp. The new ads include both video graphical ads as well as text overlays.
It’s a good practice to divide the program into several functions such
that parts of the program don’t get repeated a lot and to make the code
easily understandable.
We all know that calling and returning from a function generates some overhead.
The overhead is sometimes to such an extent that it makes significant effect
on the overall speed of certain complex and function-oriented programs. In most
cases, we have only a few functions that have extensive use and make significant
impact on the performance of the whole program.
Not using functions is not an option, using function-like macros is an option,
but there is a better solution, to use Inline Functions.
Yes, like it sounds, inline functions are expanded at the place of calling
rather than being “really called” thus reducing the overhead. It
means wherever we call an inline function, compiler will expand the code there
and no actual calling will be done.

When you start typing into the address bar in Firefox you normally see a popup menu with all the URLs that your browser knows about. But what if you get tired of hitting the down arrow key every time, and would rather have it complete inline as well?Type about:config into the address bar, and then filter by the following text:browser.urlbar.autoFillDouble-click on the value for "browser.urlbar.autoFill" to set it to true. The change should be immediate, no need to reboot Firefox… just start typing a previous URL into the address bar.[Tip from the How-to Geek]
After posting the hack for inline comments in Blogger layouts templates, I was asked if the same is also possible for classic html based templates. The answer is "yes" it is certainly possible! So for the benefit of those using classic Blogger templates (non-layouts) I will explain how to edit your template to feature inline comments on post pages.
The hack for inline comments in classic templates is perhaps a little simpler than for layouts templates, and is very easy to do. Also it is possible to preview the changes with classic templates (including seeing your post pages) so that you can be sure the inline comments act correctly before saving your template. Here is my step by step guide:
First of all, make a back-up of your template by copying the whole of your existing template into a text editor. This is just a precaution in case you make a mistake and need to restore your template at a later point.
Next, go to the settings section of your Blogger dashboard and click on "Commen
Would you like to be able to feature comments and the comments box beneath your blog posts, Wordpress-style? In this tutorial I will explain how this can be achieved in your Blogger "layouts" template. After you implement this hack, your readers will never have to leave the page to post a comment on your blog!
This is an example of what the inline comments looks like in one of my test blogs (click on the image for a larger version):You can also see an example of this hack in action on this demonstration blog. You will be able to change some elements of the inline comments' appearance as I will explain later in this post. For now, let's see how this hack can be done.
How to implement the inline comments hackBefore you do anything to your template, be sure to make a back-up of your existing template. This can be done by going to the Edit HTML page and selecting the "Download Full Template" link near the top of the page. It is always good practise to back-up your template before maki
By : Carol King According to the Google Adsense Blog it is now possible for Blogger.com bloggers to integrate Adsense ads into their blog posts. Until now bloggers were forced to use a hack (if not html literate) to implement these ads, so this will be a welcome addition to the page element section. If you are using Google Adsense for the first time you can full get instructions on how to include the ads, from the help pages on blogger. Click HERE! If you already have an adsense account follow the instructions HERE! There’s also some more information HERE!According to Googles Adsense Help Centre, ads placed just above or within your primary content, produce the highest click through. Although I would not wish to go against the recommendations of Lord Google, I do think that it is necessary to experiment with many types of ads, colors of ads and placement of ads. Because no two blogs are the same and visitors navigate different sites in di
If you have been having a hard time working with codes and been unable to insert your adsense in between posts, you can now stop your grumbling and complaining ;) Blogger has just included a widget for this very purpose.Learn how to do it here. Try it out and let me know whether you have any problem. I've tried it on two of my blogs but the ads have yet to show up, so I'm keen to know whether it actually works.
Blogger has now made it possible for you to make even more money! You can now add Inline Adsense advertisements between your blog posts.
As we have seen before you can add Adsense Ads. by selecting the Adsense Widget when adding widgets to your blog. If you want to include channel information also copy and paste the Adsense code into a Html Page Element.
Now with this method (Inside AdSense:
Bloggers has recently added a new feature, which is adding the support for your Adsense code to be displayed three times on one page within a blog posts. This will definitely increase monetization with your blog. If you are a member of Bloggers and yet to take advantage of new feature for Adsense to be displayed on the side within a post, you should definitely start displaying it.If you don't know anything about internet programming language, this would be great. Even for those people that know how to add code within the XML language, they probably could not figure out how to display Adsense ads just three time on one page. With this new feature you won't need to worry about getting banned by Adsense for displaying more than three blocks in one page. For a tutorial on how you can do add Adsense inline in your Blogger's blog, click here. A few websites and blogs have a very clever system whereby, when you hover over a link to a different site, a small image pops up showing a screenshot of the target website. Well, having that on your own website is actually very simple.
WebSnapr is a free to use system which takes screenshots of websites entered by users, and makes them available at different sizes. But the most useful implementation is using the WebSnapr Website Thumbnails script, also freely available.
This works simply by including a small javascript file, and adding a simple class="previewlink" to any link you want to have a popup screenshot on. You can see examples on the script page.
If you’re linking to lesser visited websites then WebSnapr may not have visited and screengrabbed those sites yet; I’d recommend that you purposely hover over any links that use the thumbnail popup, to force WebSnapr to add those sites to it’s list of sites to screenshot. Otherwise, visitors to your website may see

Volvo has announced that it will add a third member to the engine lineup of the latest S80 sedan—a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six. The all-new turbo six joins the naturally aspirated 3.2-liter inline-six as well as the Yamaha-sourced 4.4-liter V-8. The previous-generation S80 was powered by a turbo six as well, but the latest engine uses a single, twin-scroll turbo as opposed to the previous car’s 2.9-liter twin-turbo setup, which produced 272 hp. The new turbo motor has been downsized in displacement from the 3.2-liter I-6 by decreasing both bore and stroke, but it’s nevertheless good for 285 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, increases of 50 hp and 56 lb-ft over the regular six-holer. The S80’s V-8 makes 311 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Maximum twist is on tap from just 1500 rpm. The S80 T6 (V-8 AWD model pictured above and in photo gallery) will be exclusively all-wheel drive—"for now," says Volvo—when it goes on sale sometime this fall.
Okay.. in order to raise more money for the collies, I’ve incorporated Kontera ads into this site. You’ll see an underlined ad for certain key words. If any puppy ads appear, I’ll be emailing Kontera to take them off. I do not support buying puppies, puppy mills, or any of the online puppy buying sites.

Often I'm asked how to traverse a list of items in a file. You can easily go through a list of items using a for loop. Here's an example of copying selected contents of originalDir to destinationDir via the command line.#sh#for i in `cat /home/esofthub/mylist.dat`#do#cp -pr /originalDir/$i /destinationDir/.#echo $i done#donesh - shell cat - lists each item in the list one iteration at a time cp - the copy utility for a local workstation -pr - these options preserve the permission and copies recursively echo - lists the item copied

This lightweight form alert script allows you to easily add attractive validation messages to your forms. There is no markup to add on your existing page. Just call the inlineMsg() function when you wish to display a message. The position of the form element (or any other element) is dynamically calculated.
Call the function as follows...
inlineMsg('name','You must enter your name.',2);
The first parameter is the id of the element you wish to display the warning in relation to. The second is the string you wish to display in the message box. You can include HTML, just be sure and escape when necessary. The third parameter is the time to display the message in seconds. It is optional and if left empty will default to the MSGHIDE variable in the JavaScript which is initially set to 3.
