The title of this article is nothing more than a not so coy shot at getting some ranking for one of the hottest keywords in the online world. When the idea came to me about writing an article for making money online, I was prepared to explore and explain why an online business is probably the easiest way for regular folks to make significant income in the 21st century. Then it occurred to me how many people really want to succeed, but; so few actually do.As I thought, I actually had more questions than I did answers. Is it the people themselves that create the failure or is it the industry we are in? I don't know that I am the one to expertly answer the question; but, I do know that to succeed at an online venture, a plan and some skills are required. You can possess those skills when you

Organic Plant Food: Natures Magic Ingredient. With the ever increasing demand for organic food production it is quite natural that we look for organic plant food to replace the chemical fertilizers that are commonly used in commercial production of fruit and vegetables. What is organic plant food? The first thing that springs to mind is animal manure, and still today this is the number one most common source of organic plant food. Animal manure provides active nutrients, fungi and the bacteria necessary for the development of fertile soils. Today, manures are available in several forms and grades. Although horse and cow dung is well known for its use as organic plant food, other animals such as hogs and sheep manure is also available. Chicken manure requires processing before it is applied

Just when you thought that you were buying nice, happy, not chemically laden, better for the earth products, here comes this news. Turns out that a study released by the Organic Consumers Association revealed a toxic carcinogenic contaminant called 1,4 Dioxane (no, I don't know why there is a comma between the numbers) is in many popular brands of body washes, dish soap, and lotions that are labeled "natural" and "organic". And up until now, the presence of this toxin in these products has been undisclosed. So no matter how good you were about checking labels for ingredients, you would never have known this was in anything. Great.Interestingly, products that were certified USDA organic did not contain this toxin, whereas many products that are not certified organic did contained it.

To make ethanol, you want to make vinegar first, according to ZeaChem. The biofuel start-up, which has moved from Colorado to Silicon Valley, says it has come up with a method of making cellulosic ethanol that results in close to 40 percent more fuel per ton of wood chips than competing processes. By 2010 or so, the company hopes to be producing ethanol commercially for 80 cents a gallon at wholesale. That could translate to anywhere from $1.10 to $1.50 at the pump, depending on a host of factors. Read the full story at News.com. From Laura B. wmrc.uiuc.edu
Most people are very skeptical that application of any cream to the skin could cause a local reduction in fat. After 12 weeks those that used the cream lost 11 cm (4.3 in) from their waists, whereas those who did not use the cream lost 5 cm (2 in). Additionally, the decrease in waist measurement, improved the waist to hip ratio. Since shape

Aside from fighting heart disease, cancer, and other diseases, a new study shows that drinking green tea may also fight fat.
The study showed that people who drank a bottle of tea fortified with green tea extract every day for three months lost more body fat than those who drank a bottle of regular oolong tea.Researchers say the results indicate that substances found in green tea known as catechins may trigger weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat.The findings appear in the January issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

This week in Know your Ingredient Series is Chickpea. Chickpea is called by many names. Its called Senagalu in Telugu, Sundal in Tamil. Other names are garbanzo bean, ceci bean, bengal gram, hummus, chana or channa.Varieties * Desi - "with small, dark seeds and a rough coat (prevailing in the Indian Subcontinent, Ethiopia, Mexico, Iran)" * Kabuli - "with light-coloured, larger seeds and a smoother coat (mainly grown in Southern Europe, Northern Africa, Afghanistan, Chile, and introduced in the 18th century to the Indian Subcontinent)"[1]The Desi form is also known as Bengal gram or kala chana. The Kabuli form is the kind grown, for example, in the Mediterranean today. The Desi-type closely resembles those seeds found on archaeological sites and the wild ancestor, so it is probably the earlier form. Desi-type chickpeas are said to have a very low glycemic index[2] making them suitable for many people with blood sugar problems.Mature chickpeas can be cooked and eaten cold in salad
The first in the Know your Ingredient Series is the Black-eyed pea or Allasandallu or Bobbarlu as we call in Telugu. The black-eyed pea, also called black-eyed bean, blackeye, lobiya, rongi, feijão-frade, Alasandee (Kannada name) or chawli/chawle, Karamani (Tamil) is a subspecies of the cowpea,HistoryAccording to sources, this was originally native to Africa, but widely grown in many countries in Asia, the black-eyed pea was introduced into the West Indies and from there to the Southern United States, where it is still a widely used ingredient in soul food and Southern U.S. cuisine. The planting of crops of black-eyed peas was promoted by George Washington Carver both because, as a legume, it adds nitrogen to the soil and for its nutritional value.Traditional use and Famous recipes across GlobeBlack-eyed peas is a featured ingredient in the dish called Hoppin’ John. It is thought to bring good luck when served at New Years, so it is traditionally eaten on New Year's Day in the Ameri
What is Muttikaya in Hindi? What is Bengal Gram in Telugu?...well I am faced with such questions all the time. Since I think and use Telugu most of the time, but have to communicate in Tamil to get things from Grocery, I find it hard to get the local name when I order that. So every time will have to ask Amma what it is called in Tamil. Likewise there are few ingredients that I know in English but not equivalent in Tamil or Telugu. When I started writing down recipes when I was in college, I maintained a separate page where I would update all the equivalent names in all the languages. But it was quite limited and updating it was also difficult. In this age and technology, it should not be a problem to get the different names used in different languages and have them in one common place - The Internet. Anybody can access and be benefited. So this is going to be a new series where I will be writing on one Ingredients every week. Will try to post a picture and dig up medic

USA Today: FDA: Tainted pet food ingredient came from ChinaExcerpt:"Testing by the Food and Drug Administration has detected melamine in imported rice protein concentrate from China, and the company who imported it said late Wednesday it had recalled it.The company, Wilbur-Ellis, had shipped the concentrate to five U.S. pet-food manufacturers, but only one company has recalled pet food so far. That company, Natural Balance Pet Foods, on Tuesday said melamine had been found in some of its venison-based foods and it suspected the rice protein because it was the only new ingredient in the food. Natural Balance tested the food after consumers reported dogs and cats suffering kidney failure. What's your motivation? Do you want to get ripped before summer? Do you want to exercise more to lower your blood pressure? Whatever it is, motivation is a critical ingredient in the recipe for success. In between deciding we are going to get into shape and the actual physical part of dragging ourselves to the gym or lacing up our shoes to go for a jog, there is that moment in between where we find the drive to do so. This is a topic I feel is under addressed and needs to be given more consideration. The motivation for most may not be their own, it may be a loved one concerned about their health or it could a group of people. Sometimes we find the motivation from a life changing experience or it could be from the burning desire for a "Second chance" after the onset of an illness. It could be strictly physical - we just want to look trim or emotional - exercising helps to relieve stress. Lots of times we hear people say that you should do it for yourself which I am a big believer i
