That amazing holiday of picnics, grill-outs, road-trips, and of course fireworks is just a few days away. It is amazing how this holiday seems to fit so perfectly with summer. It goes like this…
“History has a purpose.

For a nation that is now celebrating 50 years of Independence,
it pays to look back even as we move forward. If only to learn from the best.
Along with the like of Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Dr, Ismail, Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Tun HS Lee, Tun VT Sambanthan, and a band of others, Tunku Abdul Rahman fought for independence from the British Empire in a way that all political crises should be resolved - not by bloodshed, but by negotiation.
He and his fellow visionaries then laid the foundation for parliamentary democracy that has lasted till today.

Today EUR/USD was still as it was yesterday. As I said - this week will probably be flat until Friday at least (they tend to be quite unsettled, those Fridays). Independence Day in the United States of America is keeping the big U.S. Forex players out of the market, causing a lower volatility, especially on EUR/USD (while there some minor fluctuations on GBP/USD). It is quite clear that big holidays keep flat market even more flat, so I'd avoid expecting a high volatility Forex trading opportunities tomorrow. If you are for EUR/USD, just wait for 1.3600 or 1.3650 breakout and then jump in.

This truly is, as Michael Medved says, "The greatest nation on God's green earth." But I have a few thoughts that I just can't keep silent. These thoughts shouldn't be controversial, but some in this country think they are.I am reminded of the way our forefathers faught and died to be free from a truly Imperialist Empire, as England was at the time. At this time, England wasn't interested in helping our territories form our own government and set up a free, democratic (well, representative republic, anyway) society, and to protect us from foreigners who wanted to take us over. They simply wanted to rule us and reap taxes from our citizens. I'm not faulting England for this, it was the way of the world at the time. So when a totally new idea arose, we had to fight for it. Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus (baseballprospectus.com) wrote recently of minor-league players who haven’t lived up to expectations. Goldstein was particularly hard on Jeff Samardzija, the Cubs’ fifth-round pick of last year. The Cubs gave Samardzija a major-league contract last winter to forgo a football career. Currently, Samardzija is 1-5 with a 4.99 ERA at Class A Daytona.
Wrote Goldstein: “After giving him a record deal to buy him away from an NFL career, the big right-hander from Notre Dame has been far worse than his … ERA would indicate — allowing 93 hits in 69 innings with a ridiculously low 25 strikeouts. He could be on the way to being one of the biggest bonus mistakes in draft history.”
