Congrats Hillary for another win in Kentucky. I am glad she is not showing any signs of quiting even though most of the Democratic Party and biased media would love her to do so. As more and more people are hypnotized by Barack Obama's rock star persona, Hillary is moving forth until all State's have their say. Her no-quit attitude and willingness to not give up until the game is over is makin
I used to think that if I had a large sum of money to invest that I would hire an investment management services. I have more confidence in myself now and I think I “might” be able to do a better job I have often dreamed of what I might be able to do [...]
Just thought I'd post another site that has gone live recently which I did the lovely design for. It was a fairly basic content managed site that allowed the addition of multiple pages, content, downloads, webcasts etc etc.
In this brief 5 minute interview, Noam Chomsky touches on why the U.S. will never allow a truly free and independent Iraq, why the number one issue on American's minds - healthcare, is never discussed or seriously addressed by politicians, and who really controls the political agenda in the U.S. Interesting interview. digg story
Home schooling improves academic performance and reduces impact of socio-economic factors
TORONTO, ON—Home schooling appears to improve the academic performance of children from families with low levels of education, according to a report on home schooling released today by independent research organization The Fraser Institute.
…
“The research shows that the level of education of a child’s parents, gender of the child, and income of family has less to do with a child’s academic achievement than it does in public schools.”
The study also reports that students educated at home outperform their peers on most academic tests and are involved in a broad mix of social activities outside the home.
Research shows that almost 25 per cent of home schooled students in the United States perform one or more grades above their age-level peers in public and private schools. Grades 1 to 4 home school students perform one grade level higher than their public- and private-school peers.

The Center for Media and Democracy announces the launch of Defend The Press, a new coalition of journalists, public interest groups, academics and citizen activists. My pores are starting to seep sweat what with this year's Cheltenham festival just three weeks away. Along with many other punters I'm starting to get giddy at the prospect of a great racing festival. The second race of this year's festival week will be the the Arkle Chase. Named after the great steeplechaser Arkle, who won the Gold Cup three years in a row, this race has seen a strong Irish representation in recent years but success has been most notable with Martin Pipe-trained winners, like Contraband and Well Chief in recent years. Run over exactly two miles, the Arkle requires both speed and good jumping technique to compete well and the recent form is often a good guide. Analysis of recent Arkle winners points towards entrants coming to Cheltenham on the back of an impressive season. Shocks in the Arkle are few and far between and the market favourites usually perform well. The race has a clear favourite in Fair Along - the best price available has been at 11/4. This horse will
