Here is a pic of my offering for a swap I hosted on UK Stampers Forum this month. We had eleven entries, all very different with some stunning colourways and festive themes across the range.Mine were done on a base of linen effect cream card which I liberally spread with Starburst Stains in Festive reds, greens, yellows and golds. I dried the background with a heat gun and then randomly stamped a holly rubber stamp image with Versamark and heat embossed it with copper EP, I also applied pink stickles to the holly berries. Then I followed this with a star stamp which I heat embossed with silver EP. I used a guillotine to chop the squares down to 1 inch and backed half of the Inchies with red and half with green hand made paper. I printed festive words in red and green using the computer and
Having now received a multitude of Inchies from a number of recent swaps I decided it was about time to make a start to display these. This display is in an altered frame on which I used Ranger Alcohol Ink mixatives in gold, copper and silver. It features 24 Inchies which make a marvelous display. I have used low tack repositionable adhesive so as not to damage the reverse of the tiny works of art.
Inchies Inchies Everywhere !!!!My God, has a week really gone by? I have been busy though. One of the things I have produced are a set of 30 'Inchies' for a swap hosted by Clare on UK Scrappers Forum .Here is a pic of my work. I basically hand coloured a background on watercolour paper (previously spritzed with water), with Lyra Aquacolors and a water brush. Then overstamped in blue Stazon with 'All over floral' stamp by Rubber Stampede. Pics and words were in the 'EYES' theme cut out from various mags. I then edged all with Gold Krylon pen.
I am surrounded by 'inchies' at the moment, they are arriving thick and fast from members of UK Stampers Forum who are taking part in the swap! I am very privaledged to be witnessing some absolutely wonderful work from the contributors so far. I have also received my 25 'Inchies' from the Talk Crafts Forum swap, and here is a pic. Wonderful aren't they? These are the ones I think I will collage in an 'altered' frame. Will post a pic when it is complete.
Yet another swap of 'Inchies'. This time for UK Stampers forum . I am running a swap on this forum where each participant makes 25 tiny 1 x 1 inch decorated squares (plus 1 extra). At the end each person then receives an assortment of 25 squares made by other crafters in return. This form of art has been rapidly gaining in popularity because of the endless variety of ways to make the squares unique. The beauty of these 'Inchies', is not only that they are tiny works of art but that they are so easily packaged and sent through the post. The forum also has help and advice threads on 'Inchies' and no doubt will be running some themed swaps later on. The swap ends on 31st March 2007 and to see the entries so far click here . If you are interested in taking part why not join us and be part of the 'Inchie' revolution? Here is a pic of my entry.
Hi All, not posted for a while but back in circulation again now. I entered a challenge on the Talkcrafts forum. The challenge was originally inspired by another swap which was to produce 100 x 1 inch squares which were to be collaged and decorated !!! God (I thought), that's one hell of a lot !!!!So instead Liz Gale suggested that we each produce 25 x 1 inch squares for a swap. That means that if 25 members enter, then we will all receive 25 in return, 1 from each of the 25 members submissions. It was only when I started to cut the squares that I realised just how small they really were. I had no idea where to start but once I started to colour the backgrounds I seemed to have a rush of inspiration and flew through them.............in fact I produced over 60 !!!!So here is a pic of my 25 which will be posted tomorrow. I look forward to receiving the others in return. The challenge ends at the end of January 2007. I firstly created a watercolour background using acrylics and then coll
