Stamping Impressions: How Childhood Hobbies Lead to Lifelong Pursuits
My wife was cleaning out a section of our “barn” this week – it’s really not a barn – it’s actually a workout room doing double duty as my muse for futuristic dreams – aka – storage for my drums and piano and bass guitar.  Nevertheless, “barn” sounds great when you really want to live idyllically l

Comic Con 2008: A Few Impressions
Gavin Greene made the journey to the San Diego Convention Center, and the content herein consists of his report on his experience(s) at Comic Con 2008. Feature Details Author:  Greene, Gavin Class:  Custom I hadn’t gone into “Star Wars Day” at Comic Con expecting much on the game front, and for the most part, it was a just assumption. The trip [...]

      Driving Impressions
Driving ImpressionsThe 2008 Honda Accord is an easy drive with good manners regardless of model, engine or transmission. It comes across as firmer than most Camry models but smoother and softer than the Altima. The Accord LX 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine matches Nissan's 2.5-liter with a bit less fuss or raucousness, and a good deal more ponies than the Camry's four-cylinder. Since the Accord isn'

[Impressions] Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito
I’m not even sure how to start this review. Should I start with a rant about the awful, ridiculously weird ending, or should I rant about the stupidity of some of the characters? Or should I be thanking my lucky stars for the lack of panty shots? … okay, let’s start with the positives: For a [...]

International students in Taiwan and NCKU : Considerations, attitudes and impressions
A few months ago I participated in a study performed by first year undergraduates students in NCKU as part of a university program to encourage Taiwanese undergraduates to tackle English academic level research during their first year with the university. A worthy goal indeed. This study was especially interesting for me since it was dealing [...]

Impressions from the German Grand Prix
The German Grand Prix, as expected, turned out very interesting and fascinating. It looks like that after a couple of unsuccessful races, Lewis Hamilton is back and he's unstoppable. The Briton started the race from the pole position and he was driving pretty confidently for the first middle of the race. However, Glock's accident shook up the things and the whole advantage that Hamiton had created

First impressions: Moving from Palm Treo 700wx to Treo 800w
At last amongst all the iPhone hype, Palm released a new  Treo after what seems like many years after the 700wx. While a lot of people will say that the looks aren’t that great compared to flashy devices like the iPhone and HTC Touch, and I’d have to agree that the Treo isn’t the greatest [...]

      Terminator Salvation: Teaser Impressions
Warner Brothers recently released a first trailer for next year’s Terminator Salvation film. It’s only a minute in length, but I like what I see. Christian Bale looks perfect as John... This full article can be read on www.kaboomreview.com.

Back to Reality; Impressions From The Mid-Summer Classic...
Folks, I'm alive. It's just been a busy week, and I didn't do much because I was pretty worn out from my whole All-Star experience and then commuting back home (which was all right), but considering I didn't get back into my hotel until nearly 4am after the game and had to check out by 11am, I didn't get much done. It's not cool to have a game end at 1:4o in the morning, and then take a train back

Big Brother goes back to basics for Big Brother 10…First impressions as Jerry is the first HOH.
(Photo Credit: TV Guide Website)Welcome to the Big Brother 10 House. What a difference a season or two makes in the Big Brother house, last season (earlier this year), Big Brother fans were given a completely different twist of the houseguests playing the game as couples and the season before, a mole player playing the game for the fans, but as much as those brought an interesting twist, for this

Developed by ALTAR Interactive and published by CENEGA Publishing, UFO Aftermath is currently distributed in Singapore by Replay Interactive under their Replaygem label at the cool price of $9.95. Bought this game on impulse a few weeks ago and looking at the screenshots on the box, it’s pretty evident this game derives much of its [...]

      Impressions Of Sultanahmet
An impression of the Sultanahmet district in Istanbul. This part of the city owes its name to Sultan Ahmet I, who had the Blue Mosque built. Across it you’ll find the Haghia Sophia, with in between a marvelous assortment of gardens and fountains, commonly called the Sultanahmet Square (Sultanahmet Meydanı). Also in this area and [...]

2008 Acura MDX - First Impressions
Upon first glance, the 2008 Acura MDX is impressive. The look is unique enough to make you feel like an individual, but not so crazy bizarre that you would be embarrassed to drive through the carpool lane in it. With three rows of seats, that leaves plenty of room for the entire carpool. Don't be misled by the term SUV. The 2008 Acura MDX is a full size SUV that has just as much sport as it does

      Macross Frontier Initial Impressions
I usually run away from series like this. Mecha. Sci-Fi. Far-fetched plot elements. Emo crybaby male leads. Female leads with some serious issues (could go psycho at any moment). And an overly solemn and serious mood are common archetypes found in most mecha anime that usually turns me away. [...]

      Wagaya no Oinari-sama First Impressions
Well, not exactly a first look this far into the series, but I thought I’d take the time to write one while we’re waiting for the fansubbers to catch up. So basically, the series centers around Noboru and Touru two brothers belonging to the Mizuchi family, a family of priests with the ability to control [...]

Metal Gear Solid 4 Impressions - Act 5
----SPOILERS AHEAD----Well, a huge ship crashing into Raiden didn't kill him after all. He returns in Act 5 without arms to help out Snake once again. Act 5 is definitely the shortest (gameplay wise) and most disappointing act so far. Again, MGS4 misses its opportunity to create a "classic" sneaking mission on the arsenal gear ship. Basically if you tranq any Frog soldiers....caution mode insues..
