How To Optimize Images for Google Image Search
Google Image Optimization Images can bring in a fair deal of traffic from Google Image Search, especially if you run a image heavy blog or wallpaper site. The following elements should be implemented when optimizing images for Google universal search: Use descriptive file naming conventions. For example: <img src="http://www.dailymoolah.com/images/100-dollar-bill.jpg" /> Always define the content of an image by using the Alt attribute. For example: <img src=http://www.dailymoolah.com/"images/100-dollar-bill.jpg" alt="$100 Bill" /> Use the Title attribute. <img src=http://www.dailymoolah.com/"images/100-dollar-bill.jpg" alt="$100 Hunder Dollar Bill" title="$100 Hunder Dollar Bill" / That’s it for today! $1.99/1st yr. domains from Yahoo! Face Recognition in Image Search Engines
Hi everyone! This is Shankar Ganesh of Technology Blog guest blogging on Sizlopedia. For more Windows tips, technology and blogging related articles, do head over to my blog. Face Recognition in Image Search Engines Search Engines are getting better as everyday passes by, and we see new features added to give users the best experience and satisfaction ever. Face Recognition is a technology that has been adapted by search engines like Google, Live Search and Exalead in a move to tune up their image search results. Now you could restrict image searches to only human faces, rather than getting more of irrelevant images. Face Recognition Search in Google Google silently added a face search operator a month or two ago, and appending the operator to the image search URL will list only photos of people, rather than listing all kinds of images. For example, a normal image search for the keywords Neil Armstrong brings up the following results: On the contrary, if you add the &imgtype=fac

Don’t Just Put the ALT Tag in your Images – Driving Traffic through Google’s Image Search
Chris Pearson over at Pearsonified has an article on how to get out of the sandbox by taking advantage of Google’s image search. I saw this article about a month ago and was surprised that I was doing the “half” correct thing when using images on my blog posts. I thought of sharing it with you a month ago but, of course I tested it first. Just for sure! Even though I’m not so good to these SEO stuffs, you might as well give this tip a try. It just needs a little effort. But take note that image search that doesn’t convert that much Here’s what I did before that I thought was the best thing t do to my images: Put some alt tag Specify the width Specify the height And the source (Of Course!) I bet that you’re doing the same! You might as well change those pictures and add the title tag. Just like in links, the text you input in the title tags will show when someone hovers on the image. As Chris Specified, you should use the following tags to your images. The Alt Tag T

Google enables face recognition in Image Search?
The things that Google comes up with are pretty scary. The Street View on Google Maps is pretty cool, but it’s starting to feel a lot like Big Brother around here. It appears that when searching for images you now have the ability to get pictures of just faces by adding this tid-bit to your search, “&imgtype=face”. Voila, stalking on the internet has gotten that much easier. I apologize if anyone has an epileptic seizure because of the image. For example, a regular Google Image Search for "paris" returns lots of photos of the city. The modified search returns lots of photos of Paris Hilton. The same technique works for "Trapani" - a regular search turns up photos of the Sicilian city of Trapani, the modified version gives you photos of people's faces with the last name Trapani. Freaky!

Google Adds Facial Recognition to Image Search
It looks like Google’s 2006 acquisition of Neven Vision, a company specializing in facial recognition software, is finally starting to pay off. Google Blogoscoped, a blog dedicated to everything related to Google, got a tip from a Google engineer that Google had secretly added some facial recognition abilities to its image search this week. The feature remains unofficial and unannounced, but you can add a small query string to the end of your Google Image search URL to see the facial recognition software in action. For example, do a normal Google image search for “Starbuck Battlestar” and your image results should produce images from the American SciFi TV show Battlestar Galactica. Then try adding “&imgtype=face” to the end of the URL. Your new search results will only contain photos of people and tight shots of their faces. Cool right?Last August, Google Picasa product manager Adrian Graham had this to say about Google’s acquisition of Neven Vision in the official Google

Google Image Labeler - Improve Google's image search
If you love Google's search and want to help them improve their image search out of the kindness of your heart, then you can! Google has created something called the Google Image Labeler whereby you will be paired up with someone else using the service and both of you will give "labels" to a set of pictures, which is basically describing the picture in words. It's kinda like a video game because while it's showing you the picture, it also tells you how many labels your partner has come up with, so then you feel to need to think faster! And you get a score also at the end and get ranked with the other hundreds of people participating in the service!http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/
