      A sick Illusion - G. W. Bush - a great illusionist?
So when people think about sick shit, most think of tortures, executions, blood and gore… What about a lie? Maybe lie is the wrong word, illusion is more correct. Most people do not see illusions as sick shit, but I do. And unlike most magician’s illusions that are entertaining and harmless, this one has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, allowed the top 1% to get richer at the cost of the bottom 99% (from Wikipedia, Bio… our economy for last 8 years - information available suggests that the standard of living has increased on all rungs of the socio-economic strata — with the bulk of income gains having gone to the top 1%, whose share of income has increased substantially.. regarding the Bush 1.3 trillion tax cut that took the budget from surplus into deficit). So how does one go about building the perfect image? Well, for most of us, we look, listen, read and learn from prior mistakes. That even seems to work for the President of the United States. Yep, t

      The Illusionist (2006)
The Illusionist stars Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti as two men pitted against each other in a battle of wits: Norton as mysterious stage magician Eisenheim, and Giamatti as Vienna's shrewd Chief Inspector Uhl, with Jessica Biel sharing the screen as the beautiful Sophie von Teschen. When word of Eisenheim's astounding illusions reaches the powerful and pragmatic Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell), the ruler attends one of the magician's shows in order to debunk Eisenheim during the performance. Pink Raygun Reviews: The Illusionist
The Illusionist makes the mistake of trying to be a smart movie when it is clearly very simple. At it’s heart, it’s an early John Hughes movie like Pretty in Pink or Some Kind of... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

      The Illusionist (2006)
SHORT REVIEW: Trying to put The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade: Trinity and Stealth behind her, Jessica Biel goes for the "serious" role. It's like a well known pig farmer becoming a librarian. Sure she can change her roles but she shouldn't be surprised if people still assume they're going to smell crap when she comes [...]

Movies I Have Seen: The Illusionist
THE ILLUSIONIST4.5 out of 5It's hard to go wrong with a movie starring Ed Norton and Paul Giamatti. Both are superb actors and they do some great work here. The story is quite enthralling and I got very wrapped up in Norton's character. The real standout of the film however was Rufus Sewell who played the evil Crown Prince and Jessica Biel's betrothed. And I am not a big Jessica Biel by any stretch of the imagination but she did a really good job here. Her fake accent didn't even get on my nerves too bad.I have heard The Prestige is a far better film about magic and considering Christopher Nolan made it, I don't doubt that it is but this is still a great movie and I highly recommend it.

The Illusionist Starring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti and Jessica BielPart 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5If an error comes up that says try again just hit try again and it will work.Watch the Preview First:My Review:First of all, let me say this was a beautifully-filmed movie, just gorgeous from first to last frame. That gets big points with me. Just as impressive was the story, a fantasy-mystery- romance-drama combination set in Vienna, Austria, around the turn of the 20th century. It is a story that should keep most viewers intrigued all the way and perhaps surprised quite a bit at the end. Edward Norton does his normal job of making you fascinated with whatever character he's playing, this time a magician with almost supernatural powers: "Herr Eisenheim." The character he plays, and the tone of the movie in general, is pretty low-key with next to nothing in (on screen) violence or profanity. It's simply a classy film and a modern-day one that older folks would very much enjoy as well as
