The new series of 'Desperate Housewives' has started on our TV screens. Before I dive totally into the new season I'm desperately (no pun intended) trying to catch up with the last one on DVD. That means an intensive regime of Desperate Housewives watching. I need to fit in at least three episodes a day (apart from Tuesday because I have a meeting) to make sure I'm sticking to my timetable.Sitting there, in my scruffy 'loungeware', it's hard not to notice just how good-looking and glamorous the ladies of 'Listeria', or whatever, Lane are. First of all, let’s talk about how sleezy the OC Angels are. Well, not the girls themselves…but the concept. Maybe Lou Knickerbocker ran things differently, but those bathing suits were ridiculous. I get it - sex sells. But that doesn’t mean that you have to walk around in a thong and a top that barely covers your nipples let alone the rest of your chest. My favorite quote of the night was from one of the horny old men running the company - they did a close of of one of the girls’ butts, only half-way covered by the teeny little bottom, and he goes thought it should be “just a little bit smaller. It’s nice to see Lauri Waring in her new lifestyle. I think that the other ladies are a bit resentful of the fact that she feel into a boatload of money, but really, that’s how life happens sometimes. I think that it is great that she’s acting more like a mature adult instead of running around at the playboy mansion. It was sweet to see the date night she planned for George, and I have to say - I’m happy for her. I know there are a lot of Lauri Waring haters out there, but I’m not one of them. She and George seem to work really, really well together.
The ladies going out together for drinks was a hoot! While they were getting s*-faced, though, some clients of Jeana Keough’s and Tamra Barney’s showed up, and I have to say - I’m torn. The most major part of Episode 303 of the Real Housewives of Orange County was the girls’ trip to South Beach. Mackenzie (George’s daughter), Ashley (Lauri’s daughter), Megan and Lindsey (Tammy’s daughters), and a few of their friends headed to Miami for a week, and trouble ensued. First, Megan and Lindsey began to fight about money. The girls recently lost their father, Lou Knickerbocker, and without daddy around to pay for the bills, they’re finding that money is a bit tight. One girl whispered to another at the breakfast table “They have no money. That’s so sad.” When Lindsey and Megan argued about paying the bill. This trip to Miami was paid for with Lindsey’s OC Angels money, but Megan was recently fired, so she’s freeloading off of her sister, which you can tell she totally hates to do.
Now here’s the question I have - the rest of the girls at the table have parents who pay for everything. I’m guessing that

BROTHERS & SISTERS - I want to start talking about ABC’s Brothers & Sisters “36 Hours” just because it was the best episode this season that I have seen so far. Apart from the amazing acting from the whole cast, the stories just feel so true, the care the family has for each other is heartbreaking.
Before I go on to praise the episode, I would like to say that I still think it was very convenient to get Justin back into drugs but it makes for such a great episode that I’ll let it go, but they better not do another drug storyline in season 3, because that’s not gonna fly then.
Moving on to Justin’s intervention. I’ll admit that I shed a few tears during the episode (but if you ever mention this, I’ll deny it to the grave!) and it shouldn’t surprise anyone given the subject matter. The episode w

After some convincing from my friend, I gave The Amazing Race a chance. The verdict: It was not as fun as I thought it would be. The contestants were very boring and turns out my friend even told me that they were not as entertaining as previous years. Still, I’ll give it another shot to convince me. The show opened in true Real Housewives of Orange County fashion - with a parent buying her daughter a huge gift. Vicki Gunvalson, work-a-holic mother of two (Briana and Michael), bough her daughter a brand new Mercedes for keeping her grades up while in college. Briana’s in nursing school and doing well, but her mother definitely misses her. The kicker? Briana has to make the monthly payments, which are over $270 a month. Um…thanks, mom? Tonight is the premier of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season Three, and really, I couldn’t be more excited. Since Halloween is over, I suppose that it is officially time to start thinking about the end-of-the-year holidays. For more, Thanksgiving doesn’t require much planning. I head to my mom’s house and she does the cooking (although this year, I may be taking my Chocolate-Caramel Banana Cream Pie!) I spend the day eating, sleeping, watching football, and pretty much repeating that schedule at least three or four times. Yay for family Thanksgivings!
But Christmas…well…that’s another matter. I decorate. I donate to charity. I make cards and presents. I plan really great gifts for friends and family. I put up lights. I wrap. I bake. Oh man, I bake…lots of cookies. I think Christmas is one of the best, most fun times of the year. And yes, as a Christian, I try hard to remember the real reason for the season, rather than getting sucke

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - Last night’s episode of Desperate Housewives “Now I Know, Don’t Be Scared” was not only another great episode in this so far great new season of Desperate Housewives, but it had one of the most powerful scenes we have seen in the show so far:
Lynette finding out her cancer is gone. Felicity Huffman was absolutely amazing, her reaction when they tell her was breathtaking. I really hope she gets nominated next year for her performance, because wow!

Oh man, I am still behind on Dexter. For someone who loved the first season so much, I should be ashamed but I keep forgetting to watch it to be honest. I still love it and now that I’m writing about it, I wish I had seen it.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES “Art Isn’t Easy” - 9pm ABC
With the disaster of last week’s dog kidnapping, I wonder how Susan and her new neighbors are getting along? Let’s face it, Desperate Housewives is getting better by the minute. And I am enjoying it to the fullest.
BROTHERS & SISTERS “Domestic Issues” - 10pm ABC
Besides my complaint from last week’s episode of Brothers & Sisters about Justin taking the extra pills, I am ready for more of Brothers & Sisters tonight.

With the southern part of California being ravaged with wildfires, I just wanted to take a moment to note that Bravo has issued a statement regarding the Real Housewives of Orange County. The ladies and their families are all safe, in areas unaffected by the fires, other than the fact that their mansions are covered with ash, which also is probably making it difficult to breathe outside.
That said, I’m sure many of our favorite Bravo moms do have friends and family being evacuated or that have lost homes already. Please keep them in your thoughts, along with all Reality on Bravo readers battling the blazes.
Shriya Saran has bagged a role opposite Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe in a Hollywood film. Shriya, who was Tamil superstar Rajnikanth [Images]'s heroine in Sivaji, will play an Indian girl who falls in love with an American boy.The movie -- in which a call centre serves as the backdrop -- will be shot in Mumbai, San Francisco and New York. The role was earlier offered to Priyanka Chopra [Images] but she had prior commitments.The film will be produced by tennis player-turned producer Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Entertainment and is likely to release next year. Last night during Queer Eye for the straight guy, Bravo announced that The Real Housewives of Orange County are back! Woo hoo! Vicki, Lauri, Jeanna, Tammy, and the newest housewife, Tamara, hit your tv screen running on November 6, I’m guessing after the close of Queer Eye. I’m excited. This is definitely one show that I thought I’d hate, but have instead grown to love.
According to reports, Vicki is crazier than ever. I love that lady! With her kids gone to college, maybe she’ll have more time to spend with her family, but of course, she’s still a bit of a control freak, so she’ll be keeping a handle on Michael and Bri, I’m sure!
Lauri and George are getting married, of course, so much of her story line revolves around planning a huge, expensive wedding (you go girl!). There were some issues with her son, which were reported in the news, but I’m not sure if the show will touch on that or not. We’ll see.

Ricardo Chavira, 36, married his longtime girlfriend, Marcea Dietzel, in a private ceremony on September 22 in San Antonio.
Chavira and Dietzel, who have son, Tomas, 4, wore pajamas during the ceremony and attended their son’s soccer game instead of having a reception.
Chavira plays Carlos Solis on the ABC series Desperate Housewives.

Aqui Prof. Adir novamente para dividir algumas expressões que tomei nota esses dias quando estava assistindo dois seriados que gosto muito: Grey´s Anatomy e Desperate Housewives (não! não é a versão tupiniquim que passa na Rede TV!). Grey´s Anatomy fala do dia-a-dia de um hospital em Seattle, no estado de Washington, onde os residentes novatos passam por poucas e boas (go through a rough patch) com até mesmo um homem bomba!
E Desperate Housewives trata do cotidiano de 4 donas de casas na fictícia Wisteria Lane. O seriado é recheado de tramas, mortes, tem um pouco de tudo e a linguagem é bem acessível.

Our favorite serial killer is back! It seems he just left… maybe it’s because he literally just left for me (if you have read my review of Dexter, then you know I just finished watching the first season two days ago.) Either way, I am so glad I will get to see the new adventures of Dexter tonight. And for those who are not on the Dexter train yet, what are you waiting for?

EXCITING NEWS! Bravo has just announced that they’ve begun production for an all new reality series that’s a bit of a spin on The cherished Real Housewives of Orange County. Tentatively titled “Manhattan Moms,” this version of the hit Real Housewives show will follow five upscale wives of the Big Apple, in much the same way the Real Housewives of Orange County follows five upscale ladies behind the Coto gates.

Eva Longoria has admitted that she does not enjoy kissing her male co-stars on the set of Desperate Housewives.As part of her role as Gabrielle Solis on the hit ABC drama series, the actress has been asked to film a number of romantic scenes with the show's actors, including Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland)."It was weird for me even before I was married. I hate the kissing," Eva is quoted by The Sun as saying. "Kissing is the most intimate thing."Longoria added that she does not speak to her husband Tony Parker about her character's on-screen antics."I'm not sure he's happy with it, but he's not the crazy husband about it," she explained. The rumors that David Beckham would be teaming up with pop singer Robbie Williams as the Desperate Housewives resident gay couple are not true.
Eva Longoria said “No, I talked to Victoria the other day. I told her about that rumor, she was laughing. David had a good laugh out of it. No, they are not coming on the show.”
I think Robbie would find the part a bit close to home.
