Once again this time I bring you news about the bizarre things in this world! Ever heard of a house made of plastic bottles? I’m sure you’re surprised, so read on….. A math professor in Siberia decided of a queer way to celebrate his retirement. He moved into a house made of only & only plastic bottles! He built this house himself by the way. It took him a long way of 5 years to make this house made of 13,500 plastic bottles. This professor by the name Tomislav Radovanovic from the central town of Kragvejac built this 60 square metre house. He says that he hopes to enter his name in the Guiness Book of World Records and has already sent an application. By this time I am sure that you must have learnt about my interest in such bizarre things happening around the globe. So be sure to tell me some more of such tales and your thoughts about this post.
Flipping a house is a quick way the make some good money. It is a way to invest in real estate and make money without managing the property. To flip a house you buy a house below market value and resell it as quick as you can for more than you pay for it. The difference is your profit. This method if done right can bring in a bit of money quite fast. If done wrong can leave you holding the bag. The best thing to do is buy the property with as little or no money coming out of your pocket. If you can buy this property with no money down even better. A loan you should look into is an arm loan, also known as an adjustable rate mortgage. With an arm you can chose just to pay the interest from month to month, but the down side to this is it adds more to the principal when you do this. If you flipping the property paying just the interest can help you if the house takes longer to sell than expected. Another thing to do after buying the property is get the word out that it’s for sale.
Thanks to an email from Zach I have some pics of the house in Austrailia made of wine bottles. Behold the future of personal living spaces:
As you can see the bottles do indeed still have the labels on them. An interesting design choice. Takes the whole shabby-chic concept to a whole new level in my opinion.
El Jefe mentions in the comments that homes made of bottles are nothing new, and he’s right. Zach sent another link full of interesting pics of homes made from bottles dating back decades. Who knew?
Check it out.
From ABC News Online:
“A house in Western Australia’s south-west is being built entirely from recycled wine bottles.
Around 13,500 wine bottles will be used in the walls of the house, which owner Peter Little says will save energy.
He says by filling the bottles with water, the entire building will be insulated.”
No picture, sadly. I’m curious if he removed all the labels or not. It would be interesting to have an entire wall of the dining room made up of Grand Cru. Impress the guests. You could probably craft a suitably feminine powder room out of burgundy bottles. And in the bedroom? Wall to wall Magnums, of course.
The key, I would think, is finding the right neighborhood to build in. A few well-thrown rocks while you’re hosting a swank dinner party in your bottle barn and you’ve got yourself some serious issues. Not to mention potential litigation. But hey, at least your heating bill will be low.
This house has something really special, because is made from an entirely unconformistic material. I'm sure you don't see a house made entirely from old doors everyday. This was just a quick example of creative people are, and some of them keep to amaze us everyday. This picture was taken ...
