What a performance of Picture to Burn by Taylor Swift as she takes top honors at the 2008 CMT Music Awards.
A picture is worth a thousand words and for this country music fan who enjoys listening to music from Reba and Carrie Underwood to Sugarland, Trace Atkins and the newest star Taylor Swift, last Monday night’s CMT Music Awards was one of the best shows yet. I really didn’t know how the whole two host father daughter team of Bill Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus would work, but I have to say combined with the comedy and there duet performance during the show was entertaining.I could believe just how many country music stars came out for one event and yet Snoop Dog doesn’t come to mind and yet he was a presenter. Really this show is all about the performances and the awards that are voted on by the fans and while I loved seeing Carrie Underwood close the show with All-American Girl along with

let me preface this with a single statement in that i hate the program at our school known as business honors. why? it is (while wrong to act on stereotypes, it is not so wrong to profile) around 75% full of useless dips. what do i mean? well you’ll actually have to get to know the people to believe this but most of the people in this “prestigious” program (mind you, the rating has fallen every year from the top ten in the nation to god only knows) take an officer position and then don’t do the work. to give more credit to this program’s challenges and thereby reasons to possibly surmise its respectability is the fact that many classes are 50% As and 50% Bs. wow, throw in grade inflation like harvard’s and what do you have? obviously a harvard… or maybe not? i will have to say however, the classes are more challenging, but not because they have better profs, which is debatable, but rather the teaching style. let me now tell you the one greates

Track Your Awards, Honors, and Memberships
You should keep track of any awards and honors that you’ve received. Be sure to spotlight awards and honors that are particularly relevant to the field you’re working in. Most people track awards and honors starting from college and then add any awards and honors they’ve received as a professional. Some people include awards and honors going back to high school.Regarding memberships, if you’re extremely active in an organization where you hold a membership—particularly if it’s an organization closely related to your field of work—be sure to give some specific details about your activities with the organization.Don’t just sign up to become a member of an organization. You should figure out if there are areas where you would actually like to be active. Then, volunteer or do whatever you need to do to fill that role (e.g., serving on a committee, assisting with an organizational event, submitting an article for the organization’s newsletter or other publication, etc.).Th

A Nashua Parish honors the Body and Blood of Christ
Yesterday, the Pastor of St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Parish (St. Louis de Gonzague), the Rev. Richard H. Dion, led a Corpus Christi procession through the streets of Nashua, New Hampshire. This charismatic priest is truly a gift to the Church. Upon arriving at the Corpus Christi Adoration Chapel, Rev. Dion gave an excellent talk which was followed by Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. The theme of Fr. Dion's talk was the importance of Eucharistic Adoration to the life of the Church and the witness it provides to a culture mired in materialism and enslaved by a hedonistic pursuit of pleasure. To this end, Fr. Dion regularly repeated Our Lord's words, "Amen, I say to you, it will be hard for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:23).Fr. Dion - and all the faithful who took part in this Corpus Christi procession - are to be commended for their love of Our Eucharistic Jesus and for not being ashamed of standing with (and walking with) Jesus their King. Organization Honors Asbestos Victims
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), an organization dedicated to serving as the voice of asbestos victims, today, on International Workers Memorial Day, honors and remembers the 100,000 workers killed due to asbestos-caused diseases. Asbestos is still the number one carcinogen in the world of work and causes 54% of all deaths from occupational cancer. "Given that we are in the 21st century and the hazards of asbestos have been known since the 19th Century, and further revealed in the 20th, it is outrageous that the Congressional tunnel workers were subjected to asbestos exposures over a protracted period of time. Given their exposures and the absence of adequate protection, they have an elevated risk of lung cancer, mesothelioma, and all the other diseases related to asbestos, on top of the asbestosis that has been diagnosed among of members of this group," said Arthur L.
