Living away from their own homes when some people get into college is a normal fixture. Some would become homesick since they would miss all the comforts of their natural home. While the whole idea is to allow them to access their colleges or universities easily, it is also a test of being independent as well as testing their way towards living without having to be too much dependent on their guardians or parents. But the exciting thing about living independently is to try and bring out how they can organize and make their temporary dormitories as homely and comfy as possible. To some this is a challenge, and it would be another way of trying to train them on how to project comfort once they start living their own lives and put up their own homes once they earn their degrees and diplomas. Approaching the 3rd year anniversary of the school and it's time to reflect.Have approx: 97 students and will soon be trimming that down a bit. This week I will start informing some adults that I will discontinue their classes soon. Its not fun teaching adults unless they are also teachers. I am in control of my happiness so that is the way "that" goes.I have seen alot of other School websites and forums and it seems these people are consumed with getting new students or chasing the latest "wonder tool" in the English teaching world. Have a drink and relax....stop trying to re-invent the wheel!I miss Hawaii...ALOT!!The blog has guided me torwards HTML/XML and Java script editing and it is alot of fun. I am "averaging" 1000 views a month and I'm not selling a thing!! From time to time I get really homesick. This past few weeks has been one of those times. I’m so homesick I can barely function. You see I grew up in small town Southern Oregon, where men are men, women are women, and no one has had surgery to change that. Kids play in the street, keys are left in the ignition, and life moves at a slower pace. It’s my preferred mode of doing life. A couple of times a year I get so homesick I have to make a trip home. I need the air in my lungs and the sound of the river in my ears. This weekend my wife and I are going home and I’m truly excited! It’s like my aunt said to me last night when I called to make arrangements to stay with her, she said, “Joshua, you can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy.” She’s absolutely right. I am so so homesick, I can't stop crying about it.  Our house has had so many showings, and nobody wants it.  It makes me think that God is telling us something. I don't want to be at this apartment.  I am going stir crazy, and I have been nothing but depressed and have that wicked agida since I got here.  I don't want to be here.  I want to be home, at the house. We are going to try to figure out a way to maybe go back there.  We are going to work things out between us and I am glad for that.  Wish us luck, and please send good vibes our way, just like you always do.
