Ohh this is definitely something that I can relate to. My problem is NOT being un-organized, however my problem is sticking to my plan or my schedule as you say. I really like several of your points. One I'm going to try is "DO NOT TURN THE COMPUTER ON". I always say, ohh I'll check email real quick..but get sucked in. The other is to do housework and breakfast and all first. Another thing I d

Home Office aligns with George Galloway
Some absolutely shameless statements by a Home Office Minister in the Lords yesterday.Lord Spit, sorry, Lord West of Spithead (Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Security and Counter-terrorism), Home Office), made the claim that in the one case they'd investigated it wasn't homosexuality which the execution was for but for rape. This echoes George Galloway's repetition of the Iranian regime's lies. For the Home Office to:admit they have investigated only one caseuse the Iranian regime's lies against gay asylum seekersis almost hard to take in. The complicity is just astonishing. Wall for flat tv combined with home office.
Anyone who works from home, and do not have a spare room to use as an office, may find this idea appealing. It is a swiveling mounting wall for a flat-screen tv combined with a fold out workspace. You work on one side and when it is time for play you just swing the leisure side forward. Come to think of it, it could be just great for people with lots of space, too. Then you do not swing the thing, but let it be a room divider between the home office and the living room. Ethernet Networking for the Small Office and Professional Home Office
In a local area network (LAN) or intranet, there are many pieces of hardare trying to gain access to the network transmission media at the same time (i.e., phone lines, coax, wireless, etc.). However, a network cable or wireless transmission frequency can physically only allow one node to use it at a given time. Therefore, there must be some way to regulate which node has control of the medium (a media access control, or MAC, protocol). Ethernet is a MAC protocol; it is one way to regulate physical access to network tranmission media. Ethernet networking is used primarily by networks that are contained within a single physical location. If you need to design, install, and manage a network in such an envronment, i.e., home or small business office, then this book will give you an in-depth understanding of the technology involved in an Ethernet network. Top 5 Tips for Creating a Home Office
With the holidays fast approaching, the electronics stores will be hustling and bustling, churning out TVs, DVDs, digital cameras and laptops.  Personal electronics are on the wish list for everyone from kids to grandparents.  Once you have all of those shiny, new toys where do you put them and how will you use them?  I have a home office that I used to spend most of my time in.  Computer, printer, scanner, fax...all of the tools of the West Bank real estate trade.  I painted it a warm, chocolate brown color and installed French doors, a new fan and window blinds.  It was a wonderful space.  Slowly, but surely, the rest of the family begin creeping in on "my space".  First it was my husband and his karaoke computer.  Then it was the kids when we purchased a separate computer for them.  The older kids have moved out, but apparently not on, since they were always in the house checking email.  Finally, in defeat, I relo

      Home Office Furniture: Shopping Smart
By: David FaulknerIf you have started your own in-home business, one of the purchases you will eventually have to make is that of your home office furniture. Unless you already have an established client base, and know your business will be a money maker, you probably do not want to spend a huge amount. On the other hand, if your business requires your clients and prospective clients to come to your office, you want your home office furniture, if not the best available, to be at least presentable. And your choice of home office furniture will also depend to a large extent on the kind of home business you have. If you are a free-lance writer, for instance, you may need nothing more elaborate than a quality computer desk/workstation and comfortable office chair.Should you have a large client base and do a lot of paperwork, however, youll want filing cabinets for storage, as well as your computer area setup. If that be the case, you would be wise to get as much storage capacity as you need

Organizing Your Home Office - Some Advice
As you may have read in the previous post, I’m currently gutting my parents old house that doubles as my office / home. In the past day, I’ve done a little rearranging of items, some slight moving around. Figure there’s no sense in getting too comfortable because I’ll be moving everything upstairs again in a few days once we start the painting and floor cleaning. This leads us to my first bit of advice. If you have a sliding desk chair, oftentimes despite what one might think it’s better to have a carpet under you rather than a hardwood floor. I learned this today when I removed said rug from the floor and found myself unable to control my sliding across the smooth surface. Now, I’m not talking about careening face first into a wall. That would be embarrassing. I’m talking about just sitting here readjusting my position and accidentally swinging my chair left or right crashing gracefully into one of my side tables within my desk area. If

These include spreadsheet (either MS Excel or the free open source OpenOffice), a desktop calendar (I use Active Desktop Calendar), an address/contact book (Outlook for me).Online access: I would be lost without the Internet. Via email we can quickly contact companies, through the net we can find corporate phone numbers instantly, conduct research, and manage our bank accounts.A filing cabinet: We use a large 5 drawer steel filing cabinet to store our documents, all well organized in
