Before infrastructure work can begin, 857 apartments and a 50,000-square-foot shopping center must be demolished. Demolition should be completed by spring, and phase-one construction should begin next summer or fall. Construction should wrap in spring or summer 2010.

Ok for starters a Semi Acoustic looks the business. Take a look at a Gibson 335 with it’s smooth double cut away design and it’s elegant curves. When you step on the stage with a semi acoustic people notice. Take a look at a Strat or a Les Paul then take a look at a Semi - there’s a stark difference first off, semi’s are big but more importantly they are much lighter than their solidbody, comfortable to play and pack a punch in the sound department.

We haven’t done a Name That Candy in a while and this email from a reader named Ed is perfect given our proximity to Easter. I have no idea what candy he is talking about. Anyone recognize it?
I have a question regarding an Easter treat I received as a child. Each year I received an egg crate that contained a dozen eggs that looked like real eggs. It came from italian relatives in Brooklyn NY from about 1959 to 1963. The eggs had an edible hard shell and were filled with chocolate(I believe dark chocolate) — but had a hollow center. The hollow center was about 1/3 of the egg’s area. The eggs were heavier than normal eggs. I can’t swear to it but I believe that they were from Italy or produced by an Italian Chocolatier. If you have an opportunity, I would appreciate any assistance in finding them for my grandson. Many thanks.

The deadline was extended in 2001, when General Motors brought in a new developer, Roseland Property Co. of Short Hills, N.J., to transform Westchester's largest manufacturing operation in history into one of its largest redevelopment projects.Still buried on the 97-acre industrial moonscape are a series of contaminants — including hazardous solvents, methane gas, chromium and, especially worrisome, lead.
