In the beginning it's going to be annoying to sign up for all the blog-linking services. So here's a tip on how to do it:First, get a Feedburner RSS feed. They're fast and easy and indexed with a whole lot of other feeds so that's some instant promo right there.You'll want to get this first because a lot of the blog linking sites will want to know it.Also make an ad banner 468 x 60 pixels in dimension; they'll want that too. Today's lesson... hitting the speed bag. I haven't had the opportunity to try a speed bag yet. My workout gym does not have one (only a heavy bag). And I still only have a heavy bag at home (my cheap double end bag broke). So until I can get one to play around with, here is a helpful video.

I recently purchased a double end bag. If you see a "Bruce Lee" double end bag for about $14 or $15 dollars on ebay, DONT BUY IT. It is very cheaply made and pretty much worthless. I am using it for the time being, but I will soon upgrade to something nicer. A good double end bag should have a quality connection, made of durable elastic or rubber, not a cheap piece of elastic string, and the ball should be made of leather or canvas, not cheap foam.With that being said, the double end bag is a great tool for improving your quickness and agility. My #1 tip for hitting the bag on your first day is: DON'T hit it on your first day... haha. OK, well that may be taking it a little far, but if you have never hit a heavy bag before, proceed with caution. I think the tendency is to try to hit it as hard as you can. I put the gloves on for the first time with a couple friends, and I think I was trying to impress them with my punching power, so I really let loose. Big mistake, especially the next day. So my tips would be as follows:Wrap your hands! Probably the most important first step. And make sure you wrap them correctly. There are plenty of websites that explain how to wrap.
