It’s been a while since I have watched a movie that caught my interest enough for me to blog about it and the last movie I blogged about was Death Note – The Last Stand. Yesterday I watched Hitman at the theatre and it was a great experience. I have been following up on news related to the Hitman Movie for a few years now and I remember some time ago that there was talk that Vin Diesel would have stared as the main character. After a while though Vin passed up the role and all I remember was that a young not so popular actor was taking over. The movie is now out and doing very well and after watching it I have to say that it lives up the gaming franchise it was based upon although I have only played a few of the Hitman video games. I went to see Hitman this afternoon. I heard of the game but never played it. With this in mine, I saw the movie without expectation or knowing to much of the background of Agent 47. Because it was not Thanksgiving in Canada, the movie was only out today in theater. I think it was available in bigger cities with a more English population. The movie is more an action pack than anything else and could had been a great summer movie. With that in mind, I left my brain at the door. The story was not so bad but not very original. I saw bits of many movie in there. The action scenes were okay. Timothy Olyphant played Agent 47 more like a robot than a human with feelings. Considering the background of Agent 47, it was Olyphant goal as an actor. A perfect killing machine with no time for emotions. The big screen adaptation of the video game Hitman has got a new release date. 20th Century Fox has moved Hitman’s release date from October 17th to November 21st. Could it be possible that Fox wanted to distance Hitman from 30 Days of Night, which will hit theatres on October 19th? With its new release date, Hitman will go head to head with the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist, August Rush, Disney’s Enchanted and The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men. Surely there was far less competition with Hitman’s October release date? Lionsgate has announced the release date for Frank Miller’s adaptation of the Will Eisner Comic The Spirit. Timothy Olyphant may have been excellent in Deadwood, but many are unconvinced that he'll be a convincing Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman movie. His baby face doesn't do much to inspire confidence, and the fact that he wasn't at all familiar with the games doesn't help, either, but as a recent interview with IGN reveals, that doesn't mean he didn't give the role some serious thought. It is natural to have worries about whether this new big-screen version of the hit video game series will be able to do it justice, but from what I’ve seen and read, so far, so good. The actor chosen to play Agent 47 is Timothy Olyphant, and while he isn’t a perfect fit IMO, he does do a pretty good job and looks the part well enough. No sea malo !! ya estaba muy ansioso por Resident Evil: Extinctión y ahora me salen con que el 12 de octubre gracias a 20th Century Fox vamos a tener la película de Hitman, para los que no sepan hitman es un juego para PC en donde el personaje principal es un hombre llamado Agente 4 que es clonado y perfeccionado para ser el perfecto asesino, yo eh jugado el Hitman 1 para pc y realmente esta muy bueno.Este trailer se puede ver en la pagina de fox y como dije la película tiene fecha para el 12 de octubre.

Well, this is more like it. Like I said before, I don’t know anything about Hitman. So I have no idea how meaningful this is to people who like the game. But I do think this is a much more interesting poster for those of us who don’t already know the story and the characters. In part because there is a lot more to look at. But also, and more importantly, because it starts to introduce us to the character at the center of the movie. It doesn’t show much right now, just a bald guy enveloped in shadows and holding two guns, but it’s a start. This would be a terrible final poster. Para todos los gamers como su servilleta en el mes de octubre estará en cartelera Hitman la película basada en el videojuego. Quienes ya lo han jugado saben de que tratara, para aquellos que no tienen ni la mas remota idea pues juéguenlo bola de móndrigos. Es la historia de un agente estilo el perfecto asesino con Jean Reno, donde es ambientado en Europa, Asia, arabia. Hay que ir a liquidar a los tipos malos. Por el momento el tráiler tienen buena pinta, lo malo es el director que no tiene mucha carrera ya que ha realizado peliculillas simplonas. Esperemos que no resulte como con otras buenas historias de videojuegos que en lugar de exprimir lo mejor hacen de una ensalada una porquería de lechuga.
