Anya Hindmarch has had a love for accessories and design since she was very young. She first began selling her designs at age 19 at a shop on London’s Walton Street. I have a love for accessories and design too but opening a store now a good idea for me. In a low populated city where I live there probably will not be as many bag fashionista. Anya Hindmarch is also known to design three collections each year and her pieces have unique designs and are made to be superior quality bags. I have been reviewing Anya Hindmarch’s bags for awhile now but it caught me of surprise to see this bag. It’s the Gene Plaited Oversized Tote. I have to say I don’t agree with this bag. It sort of reminds me of a straw bag and for the Fall/winter collection it does not go. The bag is made out of plaited weave detail and gold leather. I've always loved Anya Hindmarch's cheeky totes. She's one of the few accessories designers that can create something unusual without it looking less than high fashion. Even her recent low priced 'I am not a plastic bag' bag has had monumental success and high fashion appeal. One of her latest cheeky handbags caught my eye; the 'Hell' bag - a tote made from black gaberdine and metallic bronze leather trim, and the face of the which reads 'Hell in a Handbag' (meaning a person who is troublesome or hard to handle and comes in a small package). I love the look of the bag - it's adorable and chic; the message on it (I think most people who know me would agree I'm difficult to handle!), and the price - affordable at $395.

Well, I was at the Curve's flea market yesterday, and I stumbled upon fake "I'm Not a Plastic Bag"s. Well, firstly, it's blatantly obvious that those are fakes. They come in a multitude of ugly colours, and the rope handles are too thin, the shape is off, and unlike the original, the words "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" are painted on and not sewn on. Well, perhaps the most passable fake I saw - with the same shape and size as the original (except for the painted on font and handles that replicate the original but are a tad too skinny) were at a stall in front of Cineleisure. Oh and apart from the Curve, these fake 'Plastic Bags' can be found aplenty at Sungei Wang. Oh and the most important thing of all, the fakes are even more expensive than the original one! The fakes retail for as much as RM70+ while the original was only RM55. Very silly indeed to pay for a fake (that doesn't even remotely resemble the original) that costs more than the original. I must say that the general look and design of Anya Hindmarch's bags have evolved tremendously. Previously, one could more or less identify an Anya Hindmarch piece by looking at it, but this one had me baffled. When I saw this, I initially thought that it was a Gucci piece, due to the chain link gold bits in the middle of the bag, as Gucci had a few bags in a similar design and style, from the embossed leather GG monogram collection. Much to my surprise, it was actually an Anya Hindmarch piece. Made of White leather with chunky gold chain detailing and lined in suede, this somewhat Bowler-ish shaped 'Marlie' Tote from Anya Hindmarch's 'Day Bags' Collection retails for £510.64 via Net-a-Porter. Also available in Black.

The first person that comes to mind when I look at the Anya Hindmarch Rosso Tote Bag is my mother. She absolutely LOVES chihuahuas! I know that once she sees this bag she will want totally want it. I for one have no idea why I like this tote, I just do. I look at it and it makes me giggle. The chihuahua pictured on the tote wearing goggles is hilarious. I like quirky bags. I give this bag a 10 in the quirk-o-meter. This fabulous tote measures 14"H x13"L x 4"W has double top handles, front zipper pocket and canvas lining.
