I just adore the casually playful nature of the song ‘Hey Hey Hey’ by Room Eleven, a band based in Holland. Singer Janne Schra’s voice has been described as “a juicy green meadow, just after sunset, covered in fresh dew.”
Fittingly enough, the official video for the song is as light and summery as the music itself.

ok, this may be another Gossip Girl-related post but you can't deny that the show has brought some kick-ass new bands to our attention, including Washington Social Club. what's not to love about this (you guessed it) Washington-based foursome? they have produced some catchy, dancable tunes and perfected the 'i'm growing my hair because i don't care what society thinks' look to a tee. check out ri

Paris-based musicians, Julien Garnier and Julien Gaulier began as a punk rock band called British Hawaii but moved on to find their own sound as Hey Hey My My. They created their own musical style while taking inspiration from Neil Young and some of their favorite indie bands. They sing in English. Tonight they’re [...]
"Society is a vehicle for earthly heroism....Man transcends death by finding meaning for his life....It is the burning desire for the creature to count...What man really fears is not so much extinction, but extinction with insignificance......Ritual is a technique for giving life. His sense of self worth is constituted symbolically, his cherished narcissism feeds on symbols, on an abstract idea of his own worth. Man's natural yearning can be fed limitlessly in the domain of symbols. Men fashion unfreedom [a large measure of conformity] as a bribe for self-perpetuation."- Ernest Becker
Laura over at eatdrinklive is hosting up HHDD#13 and this time it’s Sorbet. I really have no idea who this Donna person is, but I’m always ready for another challenge. The goal was to come up with a sorbet and we’ll all be judged and prizes will be awarded. Anyways, here’s my entry: Pineapple sorbet.
I have a real soft spot for tropical fruits and pineapple is no exception. I could easily peel a pineapple and eat the whole thing in one sitting, yes I love pineapple. On a recent trip to Hawaii I was lucky enough to find local pineapples, on sale, for ONE DOLLAR! Needless to say I had about a dozen pineapples during the week and probably should have smuggled a few in my luggage, just in case. Even after all of that pineapple, it is still one of my favorites.
This recipe is everything you’d want in an easy summer sorbet: minimal ingredients, easy prep, and PINEAPPLE! I decided to add rum at the last minute to keep the sorbet a bit soft, since pure fruit sor
Roenick, a nine-time All-Star who played with four teams, sent a text message to a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer reading, "I'm retiring; is that still news?" The story was posted on the paper's Web site Wednesday. Yes, you egotistical freak, that is still news.

These are cupcakes that one of my co-workers made on Tuesday. Super awesome, and I had to have one. Yay, get the day off! Happy Independence day everyone! Be safe, stay off the freeway, Eat a lot, work it off later, and don't blow your hands off with fireworks! And be ready for new music probably this weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! 231 years of craziness.
According to IMDB.com, Rosie O'Donnell will be leaving “The View”. Apparently, Rosie and ABC failed to reach agreement on a new contract. Rosie stated that “my needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me. This has been an amazing experience and one I wouldn't have traded for the world”. Barbara Walters released a statement indicating that “I wanted Rosie to come back to television on The View even for just one year; She has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I can only be grateful to her for this year”. At this point, I believe there it more to the story, then just that! We all know that Rosie is a bitch and she was making the other hosts’ lives miserable on the show.
Hey Hey World! This is the crazy and amazing blog of funny videos! And now its time for a long and awesome. Long long time ago, in a place far far away there lived a guy. lets call him Tnahs. he was the weird youth for his generation...long hair, tattoos, hell-may-care attitude...the works. Tnahs was in college then trying to some sense of himself and his existence on the planet amidst all that he saw and experienced. The more he lived life, the more he got confused about it. It was like having ice-cold caviar. There he was whiling away his time when suddenly one day, he bumped into this girl. not literally (though he wished) but.....virtually, if i may. they met in a place that cannot be looked up in a map...that exists but doesnt at the same time. the usual banter followed and he came to know that her name was Ahsuo. they exchanged numbers and the such and started chatting up pretty frequently.
Woo Hoo !!! Entry numero uno.. Soo.. thanks for dropping by.Ok - I believe in the value of planning. If I had to rate my preference on a scale of 0 - 10, where 0 = fully intuitive and 10 = fully planful, I would come in around 7.5 This is somewhat driven by what motivates me instead of what I know I should be doing. As such I may not always practice what I preach.Planning & Scheduling software I use regularly:MS Project - Yeah.. great tool.. wish I was a better master of it.. Maybe I should join MPUG and stop crying about what a hack I am (or maybe my attitude about this is like golf, the better you get the more you beat yourself up about not being better). I think I'm a hack because I don't take full advantage of linking tasks or creating the right kind of task. I think you can't take advantage of links where meetings are fixed. Then there is the choice between a task based on fixed duration, fixed work, or fixed whatchamacall it. Which then takes into consideration the res
Hey hey, I'm in Labuan now!Heck, I know it's only a 3 days, 2 nights trip, but I'm just happy to be back, and be able to grab all the stuff I need for camp. I'm awfully sad that I'll be missing the briefing tonight during the usual youth gathering every Saturday, and I didn't go last week too! Awww... Shucks. I hate this. Basically here I am, in front of my computer, furiously fussing with my hair and wishing that I would be able to be there! Which is, so to say, virtually impossible now. Anyway, I'm the type of person who MUST have everything, I don't like borrowing stuff from people that much. Since it's my first time, I'm not so sure yet of the ropes. From what I've been hearing from the others, it's quite different from the past camps or seminars I've been to. This trip was a very sudden, well... The idea was swimming around in our brains, but mostly it was waiting for conformation from my brother. To cut the story short, me, my bro, Rosie, Bang Tai & Bang Yong are now
