Heath herring was considered a top 10 heavyweight at the time of this fight, nobody really knew Fedor except that he beat Semmy Schilt in a less than exciting fight. This is the fight that made me an instant Fedor fan, nobody had ever punched that hard on the ground it was just amazing to watch. Herring's face was really messed up and although Fedor got a little tired at the end of the first round it was still total domination, he didn't panic when Heath got north-south position on him. In the end the doctors had no choice but to stop the fight. This is the fight that let the world know what kinda fighter this pudgy Russian guy was.
